we're approaching the end of day 3 and since I am heading out to the library to work on my dissertation for a bit (since that is the reason I took a couple of days off work)

how is everyone doing so far? on target? behind? ahead? what is your favorite book read (or being read) so far?

I finished up another book - yay! and just got an ARC from that authors publisher, so i'm going to put that on the kindle and hopefully start...i'm def. deviating from my plan.

Nadine | 252 comments I am lucky, as I seem to have picked pretty good books for the readathon. They are very catchy and I find myself drawn to them whenever I have some spare time.
Plus finally summer arrived in Germany and I got some really nice hours reading in the garden with either a coffee or some cold beverage next to me.
My goal was to read 1.500 pages, but I am not sure I will manage. But I aimed high anyway as I am a pretty slow reader ;-).
I hope you are all enjoying your books as well.

Candiss (tantara) I've ended up being sick, so most every time I try to read, I simply fall asleep. Argh. I'm not doing well on this read-a-thon, but I'm feeling a bit better today, so I hope I can get at least a couple of books crossed off in the remaining 4 days.

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) If I can finish two more books this weekend, I will truly love myself. It's been a very off and on month as far as my reading goes. I need to get my reading under control (and maybe my speed a little faster?) so I won't completely stop reading when homework piles up.

You all are doing really great!

Katie Chambers (dsrt16) | 9 comments I am so so so distressed! I forgot I had signed up for a professional development course for this week. The course was AMAZING, and I learned a lot on how to help my students analyze reading and write about what they read; however, the workshop was every day from 12:30-5:00. And then I received a smart board for my classroom, and I have been playing around and receiving training on that. All of this has significantly cut down on my reading time. I have only read 2 books out of my goal to read 7 for this readathon, and there are only 2 days left! AHHHHH!!!!
