Hi Justin. I thought I'd mention to you that I read 'At First Sight' by N. Sparks and it was wonderful.
No prob:) I've enjoyed all if his movies as well, including Love Song, which I never read but I was sucked into the movie! I will have to read one of his books now. Oh Gosh! And Dear John was really good too.
Right now I've downloaded a bunch of samples. I wanted to try out Locke and Key and its stunning in the kindle fire. I think I might start buying the volumes. Any suggestions on this buy? Is it a good series to invest in?
I read the first one and really enjoyed it. The series is a bit pricey for me, but if there are some price drops I'm going to pick up more of the series.
thanks for the recommendations Carol and addy, I'm going to read a bend in the road next, I will come back to this thread to pick out which book of his I'm going to read after that. I have been working on The Killings but can't really get into it and I'm doing a buddy read with kate on Flesh Gothic I would love to read the lock and key series but I doubt they would look good on my paperwhite or keyboard.
Just finished 2 exceptional (horror but more): BLUE EEL by Lorne Dixon; AFTER THE FOG CLEARS by Lee Thompson. Reading King's BAZAAR OF BAD THINGS; BIRD BOX; and Peter Straub's INTERIOR DARKNESS, ongoing throughout the month. Next up: 2 Canadian mysteries: TUMBLED GRAVES and COLD GIRL.

How is it so far?"
Pretty good, it's one of those novels that crazy stuff keeps happening and is totally unpredictable. Like a lot of laymon novels it kind of feels like he is just making it up as he gos without any direction and maybe some of this stuff/people will come back into play later and maybe not. I'm at 50% .

I "gifted" this one to my sister (on the condition that she loan it to my kindle at some point), and she really liked it!

Haven't read anything by him for a while, might have to rectify that in Jan.

I'm thinking about buying his new Christmas horror novella. I own most of his books except the last few new ones because i bought them all when he had a big sale last year. Let me know if you want to do a buddy read when you get around to reading him again

It was and it splattered my iPad a bright red from all the blood! Now I'm sinking my teeth into Janz's Wolf Land

LOVED Wolf Land (and Savage Species)--his characterization is really incredible!
Kate wrote: "I started Nausea as well as still struggling with 6 other reads. :)"LOL! I think I'm with Kate now--I have about 6 reads going on--two that I really like, and the King stories that are more slow going. I think I'm going to throw myself into the 2 novels, and hold off on the others until I finish those ;).

Wow that's weird! Maybe there's some overlap stories from another one of his collections?

Justin wrote: "I'm almost done with the first story in The Bazaar of Bad Dreams and i swear i have read it before."*most/many* of those stories were printed elsewhere (magazines, BLOCKADE BILLY was an actual book/novella) before. There are some new ones, but I recognized quite a few, myself.
The little introduction says it was written long ago while he was tripping on acid daily and he lost it and just re wrote it now, but i know i have read it somewhere.
Still working my way through my ever growing neverending list of books to read. Currently most of the way through the new Brian Keene novel Pressure. A good thriller novel with a bit of horror with a sea monster.
I also have an audiobook going at work. It's Chimera by Mira Grany. I'm just over the half way point and it's not bad. It is the third book in a trilogy about some interesting parasites.
I also have been slowly working my way through Ex-Communication by Peter Clines on my tablet on my lunch breaks at work. Superheroes and zombies, what's not to like? Third book in that series as well (i have the next one on my tablet as well plus god knows how many other ebooks waiting to be read)....
I need to lay off buying new books...that or authors need to take like a year or two break and let me get caught up.
I had a review copy of Brian keenes complex but i accidently deleted the email, which sucks both because i really wanted to read it and also because i was supposed to review it. I will probably buy that and pressure both.
