I have Apparition but haven't read it yet. I have read The Haunted though and I did enjoy it. They also had a group read of it here at HA, but most people seemed to think the story was just OK.
I'm reading "Wait Until Spring, Bandini" by John Fante. Actually I didn't know it was a book, I only know the movie, but I've never seen it, I only know it because of the director.
Scott Nicholson's The Red Church is being offered for free on the kindle. Not sure but it might be a one day offer.
I just got an email from lendle that I have been lent Sick Things: Extreme Creature Horror which I am excited about but it couldn't come at a worse time since I have so many books I am reading right now or planned to start reading soon.
Justin wrote: "I just got an email from lendle that I have been lent Sick Things: Extreme Creature Horror which I am excited about but it couldn't come at a worse time since I have so many books I am reading righ..."I hear you, Justin! The library emailed me last Saturday that The Twelve came in. Then Long Black Coffin came in. Then a group read of Live Girls started on Monday.
Doing 33% worked good with urban Gothic since we read it alot faster than the group reads and discussed every other day. Either way works for me though.
Ok the other thread is up now if you haven't seen it, addy said 25% same as what you first said and now that I see how long it is I agree. I will start on it tomorrow, actually later today.
I am overloaded right now. I started with Trinity and Babysitting the Baumgartners and then started our group read Creepers and a buddy read of Dead Sea a few days ago I got an email from lendel that I have Sick Things: Extreme Creature Horror and today I got one saying I have been lent Scratch
What a problem to have though, eh Justin? That happened to me a week or so ago. Good books coming out of my ears!
Yeah, definitley not something I am complaining about. If I did I would have to complain about how I have such a good job that I can actually juggle all those books and not get behind on any of my group reads or limited time lendles.
I have most of my first 5 free darkfuse titles as well as 3 or 4 other books I bought and a ton of freebies to throw on there as I finish some of them off also.
I'm reading The Twelve which I'm liking way more than I liked the first book-The Passage. I'm also reading Berserk for my horror group. I'm making my way through an SS collection Best New Vampire Tales and listening to The Haunting of Hill House. Yeeha!
I didn't like the passage so I was going to skip the twelve but maybe I will give it a shot later on when I am all caught up.
I gave The Passage 3 stars. I thought it was just ok, with a very long boring part in the middle. I am finding The Twelve to be much more interesting and much less boring.
I gave "The Passage" 4, "The Twelve" 3. "The Passage" was something totally fresh and different for me, even though it skipped a lot of interesting stuff, which is then used in "The Twelve". But "The Twelve" confused me more with all the different "factions", and I couldn't follow who was evil and who wasn't, while "The Passage" was pretty straightforward in that regard, so one less star but still good.
The Apparition is great. The atmosphere is very spooky and everything is well written. Half way thru and enjoying it very much. My fav part is how he discribed heaven.
Reading dead sea, the apparition, kayla, and peephole. Just finished little star, which was a great story. Very disturbing and had characters u wud love to hate.

I just started Scratch I requested scratch by Brian Keene on lendle and because of a glitch I got this one. So far its pretty good though.
I really liked Scratch. I didn't think you were into that type of book, Justin.I found it to be poignant and quite funny.
There were a couple of Bruce Lee comments that cracked me up.
I am into every kind of book! This one I only started because of a glitch with lendle though. I requested Scratch
and got
instead, when I go to lendle and search the books it says I am currently borrowing both of them. I am about 10% in and can't put it down.

I'm really glad you're enjoying it. There is another book by the same author which is a collection of short stories. I thought the collection was above average:A Selection of Meats and Cheeses.

The ending was a little much, but suitable. It made sense about the two girls and how the ending shud be. Hope that makes sense. I dont want to give anything away.

If you want you can create a spoiler thread for it, all members can make new threads. I think we have a book discussion folder just put it in there with the title of the book and *spoilers* in the title of the thread. So far no one has created new folders but me so I wasn't sure if you knew that was an option, so to quote the notorious B.I.G. "if ya don't know, now ya know"

I enjoyed The Neighbors. It was no SEED, but it was good.
I'm interested in hearing what you think.
I started the final Turtle Boy-Nemesis: The Death of Timmy Quinn.

Just started Sunfall Manor on the side cuz its a short story and im lovin it. Im mot one for short stories, but im starting to change my mind. Things happen quickly and that certainly grabs my attention.
I planned on finishing creepers and dead sea by now but I have just been to busy with all the christmas stuff. Also I just got a new phone and theres a lot of cool stuff to play with on it.
I just started the third andrew mayhem book by jeff strand, I was going to startBlood, Smoke and Ashes but I was in the mood for a little humor and the andrew mayhem books are always a quick read.
I just finished City Under the Moon and I thought it was excellent. My whole group thought so. Werewolves, bio-warfare and lots and lots of humor.I just started Lilith.
Let it Snow so far it is good but I will stop after the first novella and read Lost Homicidal Maniac because it is a lendle and on a time limit. Next week I am doing buddy reads on both A View from the Lake and The Beast House
I finished Lilith. I gave it a 3.5.I started Occupation and it is WAY better than I thought it would be. Vampires vs. Nazis.
How long is A View from the Lake? Maybe I could join you guys for a buddy read.
