There are 3 more in this series so I will look for them next.

Heart of the Home

It's kind of like Bella Andre's Gansett Island series where the characters are a mix of locals and people who come to the Island for business or vacation, etc. This island is off the coast of FL and has no cars on it, so that's an interesting twist.

The Passion of Patrick MacNeill

The Comeback of Conn MacNeill

The Temptation of Sean MacNeill

Mad Dog and Annie

I know what you mean when it seems like you've hit a stream of mediocre books. Thanks for the author recommendation.

I like to read a series in order so I have the background on reoccurring characters.

Disregard the cheezy/sleazy cover. The story is much better.

So...I have been re-reading a series I enjoyed the first time through. #1 in this series is
Just This Once

In addition, in real life ...the All Blacks have just won the Rugby Championship ...again...and that's what Escape to New Zealand is about....rugby layers.
I'm loving again Rosalind James' wonderful writing. I'm now on #5

I read the blurb and added it to my to read list. Romantic suspense in an historical context, I love it. I want to know how you like it when you finish it.

Brown-eyed Girl was my first Lisa Kleypas book and was definitely not a good introduction to the author. Can't imagine a $12.99 price tag - I borrowed from my library...

..."
Blue-Eyed Devil in my opinion is the best in that series!! Loved it!

Maybe I'll give LK another chance...there are so many people who seem to love her...

I know she's better known and loved for her historicals, but I'm not much for historicals.
