I have read 4 of the 11 in this series. If you like unique plots, quirky characters and humor .. try this Heartwarming (Harlequin) series.
I found many of them at my local used bookstore.

The Zombie Ball by John Gaspard, in his Eli Marks Mystery series. I’ve enjoyed 5 in the 9 book series so far. MC is a magician - so unique. The tone is light, quirky, and fun. Great pick-me-up reads. I recommend the audio versions, as well. This is a mostly “Clean” series.

I’m just beginning Bishop Takes Knight by McKenna Dean, bk#2 in her Redclaw Origins series - a light, slightly psychic, slightly paranormal series. I loved book #1 and am hoping I enjoy this one as much.

I just finished listening to Better Off Wed, by Laura Durham. I’m not a super Cozy mystery reader but I do enjoy mysteries: Amelia Peabody & Vicky Bliss (Eliz Peters); Detect Richard Jury (Martha Grimes); Katt Holloway/Below Stairs (Jennifer Ashley); Albert Campion (M Allingham); magician Eli Marks (John Gaspard); Inspector Roderick Alleyn (N Marsh); Veronica Speedwell (Deanna Raybourn); Lord Peter Wimsey (Dorothy Sayers); and futuristic NYPD Lt Eve Dallas/In Death (JD Robb).
Better Off Wed was a 3 Star, for me - simply too Cozy & slightly ridiculous for me to take seriously, or really enjoy. I found the chars slightly annoying. But True Cozy mystery fans, might find it very enjoyable. It appeared the main detective may become a romantic interest, possibly, in future books. The audio, itself, was well done, & enjoyable to listen to.

Kiss My Cupcake I just finished Kiss My Cupcake by Helena Hunting. It’s a Sexy & Sweet RomCom. I listened to the audio version & the narrators were sexy & fun. I liked it quite a bit. It left me smiling. 5 Stars for me. A standalone title w a good ending.

Through Uncharted Space by Anna Hackett.
I love this Space Opera Romance series. Anna’s books are steamy, so they’re not for everyone, but they manage to Pick Me Up at the end of a challenging day. The heroes/heroines always kick the Bad Guys’ butt and some days that’s what truly makes me smile.

I’m about to pay $6.99 for #2 in the Blue Ridge Valley series. I rarely will pay that much, but she deserves the $$ for how well she writes, I think. I hope you enjoy it, too.

Any time I have to put my money down for any book, that is the highest praise. I'm lucky that I can usually get a book either as an ARC or through one of my three library systems. That said, I did just pay $8.49 for Janie Crouch Linear Tactical Boxed Set 3: Echo, Phoenix, Baby. It's a bargain at $2.83 per book and this is an awesome series.

Deep Dish Deep Dish by Mary Kay Andrews IMO was a slow-to-start Cooking Romance. But I really enjoyed the last 1/2 of the book - enough to redeem it, for me. I loved the MMC & his pooch, Moonpie.
