Exactly! We all think the actors and actresses we know will be perfect but they might not be! It also helps the unknowns get noticed and get out there more!

Well obviously Day should be Asian and she isn't I'm so not watching.
Logan Lerman would be so good as day and for June I would have to go with Nicola peltz.
Although Logan looks nothing like Day..

Maybe it's just me but I feel like Jamie Campbell Bower would play a really cool Day because he fits the role and description. Like with his blonde longish hair and all and he's a complete badass looking actor like when he plays Jace in TMI

I heard the movie rights had been dropped, just sayin. plus half of theses choices would imply that none of you care that Marie Lu wrote diverse characters in the first place, like Alex pettifer and shaileen woodley (I don't know how you spell their names, I don't care) firstly Day is supposed to have Asian origins. If this incredible book trilogy is made into a film (fingers crossed it won't be) I hope it isn't a) over-romanticised like the hunger games: catching fire and b) undervalued like some of you guys are implying with actors chosen out of prettiness and hotness, rather than their ability and their likelihood to the truth of the story.all I wanted to say. I'm out.
June:Nicola Peltz...I saw June as being fierce in a way and Nicola could fit the picture. Captain Jamison:Angelina Jolie-Angelina can be scary like Jamison. Tess:Kiernan Shipka ,except shes a little on the short side .I still need to look around for the other characters....
Okay for me I would like unknown actors to play June and Day. Commander Jameson could be played by Tilda Swinton. For everyone else it doesn't matter as long as they can act. But okay if they don't get an unknown actor for Day, I think Leo Howard would make a good Day. I know he's suppose to be half Asian and I don't think Leo is but Ive searched and haven't been able to find someone I think fits. Though I do think he's white but to me he doesn't look it and when I first saw him I did think he was mixed with some kind of Asian or something because I couldn't tell what he was. Well anyways I think Leo would be good because he can act, has done martial arts since he was a kid, does his own stunts and I think he looks like the way Marie Lu had drawn Day.Day

Watch this video, forward to like 4: 16, around there and watch what he does. I think it's pretty cool and think he'll do a good job. For June, I really do hope they cast an unknown or they hold open audition for her. That would so amazing. Well that's just me

Hailee Steinfeld would make a good June and I agree with the mention of Booboo Stewart for Day. My worst fear is that they'll pick people WAY too old.
It will be a movie I went to Barnes and noble yesterday and they had a table it was for movies who are or will be movies and legend was on that table and there's also other proof

HAILEE STEINFELD as June Iparis! She's a seasoned actress, looks fantastic in a ponytail, has the right height and built for the role and she has an exotic look! I think she would be perfect for the female lead
