2012 April Pick It For Me! Challenge

Thank you for the recs. I think I will read Dirty by Megan Hart this month. I read Stranger last week and I really liked the writing style. Then maybe I can read A Kingdom of Dreams. I have been meaning to read it for a long time.
Thanks again.

Okay, I placed a hold for a copy at my library and will private message you when it is in my possession :)
I've never done a buddy read either, so it'll be a cool experience. I saw the movie when it was in theaters and really enjoyed it too.

I started a buddy read today and start work tomorrow so lets start next Saturday ... that way I know I'll be done the one I'm on and won't get caught up with work. Good for you?

Okay, let's start with the something different and go from there. Let's plan to start it on Friday the 13th! I'll be too busy during the holidays. Does that work for you? I'll start the thread for Tropic of Cancer when I hear back from you. I've been wanting to read this book forever! It will be nice having some company. =)
Let me know if the date doesn't work for you.

Isn't that the point of this? I like enabling people. :)
I'm glad you like the recs. Let me know what you pick!

I will check tomorrow in the library and if they don't have it, I will buy it, which will take a couple of days. I will get back to you tomorrow after I check. I just read another one by that author and it was really good, so I am looking forward to reading this one.

That sounds great. I have been wanting to read this one for a while, so this is exactly the motivation I need to get it done.
Does it still suit you to start the Buddy Read for 'Virals' on Saturday? I am reading another one tomorrow, but by Saturday evening I will be ready to start 'Virals' if you are. If you aren't, that's okay, too, because I have plenty of other stuff to read and can start it when you are ready.

Library visit found bothHush, Hush and Wings. I have both of them. If you want to do a buddy read, let me know. Couldn't start before Wednesday or Thursda..."
Hi Pam, I'll let you know when I'm able to start Wings, I've got another buddy read first too.

Here are your picks. I hope you find something you want to read. Let me know if you're interested in a buddy read."
Mounika,
Thanks for the picks!
I am almost done with Ghost Story (it was my pick from last month!!), and while I do plan on finishing it this month, I'll pick another book that I can start this week! So, I will read "Dragon Actually" from my TBR pile! And, if I have time, I would like to do the buddy read "Giving Chase." I've already read "The Hunger Games" and would highly suggest it to you to read though.
Please let me know if you don't mind waiting a couple of weeks to do the buddy read "Giving Chase."

The date suits me Lacy, let me know when you set up the thread.:)
Yay!

Late last night I started Explosive Eighteen, read most of it this afternoon, and finished it just now. It was a very fast and fun read and just what I needed after two months of reading review books! Thanks for picking it for me.
Now I think I will move on to The Peach Keeper because I have loved the other books by that author.
Great picks - I am going to see how many of them I can do this month.

From Your Pickee's TBR Cupboard:
Chocolate Raisins: Lover Unbound - I see that you like the BDB series. This is the next on your TBR list.
Nut Clusters: Give Him the Slip - The plot for this one seems pretty quirky.
Truffles: Crave - Lots to choose from here, but I went with J.R. Ward since you rate her books highly.
Hot Cocoa: Rocky Mountain Heat - This seems like a steamy read for a cold day.

From Your Pantry Shelves:
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries: Anna and the French Kiss - Very cute and sweet YA book.
Chocolate Fondue: Sweet Addiction - This looks pretty hot!
Dark Chocolate: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - This series was very suspenseful and interesting.
Chocolate Covered Ants: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Long Way Home - If you want to give graphic novels a try, this is a great series!

Buddy Reads
From Both Our TBR: Pleasure - We've both read the previous two in this series. If you'd like to finish it up in a buddy read, I'd love to join you!

Get a ClueBodywork

later this month because it looks like it will be a fun book.

Mommaseymour, go ahead and make the picks the best you can. If she gets in touch with you later, you can try again if you wish, but it wouldn't be required. All you can do is try! =)

Thanks I will just go ahead and edit the one I have on here for her with picks in her categories. Hopefully out of all of them she can find a couple she likes.

I hope so too! But like I said, all you can do is try. The picks look good to me! =)

From Your TBR Cupboard:
Chocolate Raisins - Beyond the Highland Mist I noticed you liked Karen Marie Moning's other series and I am loving the highland series. I hope you enjoy it too.
Nut Clusters - Soapsuds: A Novel Not only is the cover funny but I read the preview and it sounds interesting.
Truffles - Devil Without a Cause What else can I say but yummy. What a hot bod!
Hot Cocoa - A Discovery of Witches I have heard nothing but good things about this book. So sit back relax and enjoy.
From My Pantry Shelves:
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries - The Bride Julie Garwood is one of favorite authors and this was the first book of hers that I read.
Chocolate Fondue - The Reluctant Vampire I know this is in the middle of the series but I don't think they need to be read in order. Their are some really hot scenes in this book.
Dark Chocolate - Divergent This is such a good book!
Chocolate Covered Ants - Wake I noticed this one was on your TBR list and I think it is different and I had to read the whole series one after the other. I just had to know how it ended.
Buddy Reads:
Your TBR - Switched
My TRB - Full House
I really enjoyed looking over your book lists. You have a lot of books that I will end up adding to my TBR list. Enjoy your picks and let me know if you would like to do one or both of the buddy reads.

Great pick..."
Hi Valerie ~Varuca~, I was going through the posts to make sure I had everything organized and noticed I never responded to your comment! Sorry! I am definitely going to read both Lover Reborn and About That Night this month, in fact I started Lover Reborn this morning! I think I only made it to chapter 7, so I didn't get to far. I plan to start About That Night as soon as it comes out (or as soon as I finish the BDB book whichever is last...) I would love to do buddy reads of either or both with you! I am also very interested in Faith & Fidelity, but it would be later in the month before I could get to that. Let me know if that works for you!

If you haven't received your picks and I have it mis-marked on the list that the person picking you has made them, please comment here or contact me so we can make sure you get your recommendations!
I will post repicks tomorrow afternoon, my time!

Sorry for the delay.
I don't think you and I have ever read the same book. I don't know a lot about what you read but I have tried my best to give you a variety from what it looks like you enjoy reading:
From Your Pickee's TBR Cupboard:
Chocolate Raisins - Soul to Take
Nut Clusters - Vampire Academy is the only one that could be funny but I doubt it.
Truffles - City of Lost Souls
From Your Pantry Shelves:
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries - Change of Heart - Sally Mandell
Chocolate Fondue - Chasing Fire - Nora Roberts or Into Deep - Kathryn Shay
Dark Chocolate - Every Present Danger - Kathy Herman
Chocolate Covered Ants - Stealing Shadows - Kay Hooper. Hiding in Plain Sight - Amy Wallace

Okay, Skandia, this has to stop. Not.--lol-- I love it: I stayed up until the wee, wee hours of this morning finishing The Peach Keeper - I just could NOT put it down. So that is two of my picks finished in two days, and I am excited to keep on reading them! I have to decide what is next, but I do have to finish one more review book in the next two days, which I will do quickly so I can get back to my picks! What a great list!
I agree about the Stephanie Plum novels - she can't publish them fast enough for me!
