Was thinking of reading this soon as well! I read Just the Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James recently and really liked it! It's one of her stand alones.

Regina (reginar) I finished Iced (Dani O'Malley, #1) by Karen Marie Moning . The audio is well done. I loved a lot about Iced -- Moning's writing style, the post-apoc wolrd that the characters live in, and even Dani. But I was kind of bored in the beginning, I wasn't invested in the struggle, and I was grossed out about Ryo and Christian. But at the same time, I thought Christian's darkness was one of the best things about the book. Although, so much of it is recycled from her other books -- the darkness Christian struggled with is pretty close to what Daegus struggled with in The Dark Highlander (Highlander, #5) by Karen Marie Moning . Ryo's personality is pretty close to Barrons (except Ryo laughs and has a sense of humor); and the triangle of men is pretty closely aligned with what was in the Fever books. It seems clear Cruce is the big overarching struggle in these books, but each book will have a little smaller struggle. That is what she did in the Fever books too. I enjoyed it. Am glad I read it. It is better than many books I have read this year. It just isn't as good as I wanted. But I am still thankful to have h ad it. The ending sucks.

Regina (reginar) I started listening to Days of Blood & Starlight (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #2) by Laini Taylor

message 5604: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments I'm reading Shadow Kin (The Half-Light City, #1) by M.J. Scott . Let's see how this turns out.

message 5605: by Leea (new)

Leea Finished ICED and i'm so glad it's done. lol!

Now i'm going to read Saving Grace by Julie Garwood and i'm so excited to read this book. Something from an author I love :)

message 5606: by Krissy (new)

Krissy (krissystewart) It's already after midnight but I am anxious to start my next book Lessons From a Scarlet Lady (Northfield, #1) by Emma Wildes so I guess it is going to be a late night :)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) It happens sometimes! I read a lot late at night. In fact, that's when I do most of my reading.

Starting Bonds of Trust (Wicked Play, #1) by Lynda Aicher for a group read.

message 5608: by Rachel the Book Harlot (last edited Nov 09, 2012 09:00AM) (new)

Rachel the Book Harlot Just finished Something Wicked (Living in Eden, #2) by Michelle Rowen and started Book 3, the conclusion to the series, That Old Black Magic (Living In Eden, #3) by Michelle Rowen . I really like this series. Funny enough, I found it through the GR auto recommendation system. I'd never heard of it before that.

message 5609: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments I finished Second Chance Pass (Virgin River, #5) by Robyn Carr and finally finished the audio to Unraveling (Unraveling, #1) by Elizabeth Norris . Now, I'm listening to Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn . Not sure what book I will pick to read next.

message 5610: by Leea (new)

Leea What did you think of Second Chance Pass? Will you continue the series?

I finished Saving Grace - loved it!

Now i'm going to finish Special Forces - Mercenaries Part I, I stopped at the 55% mark because I couldn't take anymore heartache and now i'm ready to know what happens.

message 5611: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments I liked Second Chance Pass. I will definitely continue with the series but just don't feel like reading another one right now.

I love the Garwood books that I've read. Good to know that you enjoyed Saving Grace.

message 5612: by Leea (new)

Leea At some point I want to reread all Garwoods HR books - let me know if you are ever in the mood :) We still have to read Children of Liberty? How about next week sometime?

message 5613: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Next wk sounds good for Children of Liberty.

I need to finish Garwood's books too. Let me know the next time you pick one up.

message 5614: by Courtney (last edited Nov 09, 2012 10:13PM) (new)

Courtney | 337 comments I seriously want to read more humorous chick-lit but it's so hard to find good ones!

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Courtney wrote: "I seriously want to read more humorous chick-lit but it's so hard to find good ones!"

I have a hard time finding good chick lits too.

message 5616: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments I actually went browsing through your chick-lit bookshelf and found some potential buys ;)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Had a few free moments after our movie tonight and ended up reaching for the wrong reader, so I FINALLY finished Hard Bitten (Chicagoland Vampires, #4) by Chloe Neill . Sheesh...months later and I finally got it done. It was so hard to find the motivation to keep going, knowing what was to come. Now let's see if I can read book 5 sometime in this century.

message 5618: by Caitlyn (new)

Caitlyn (caitlynj) I'm reading What Angels Fear, so far so good. Reserved the second Outlander and the Bronze Horseman from the library the other day so might get them later next week.

message 5619: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Courtney wrote: "I actually went browsing through your chick-lit bookshelf and found some potential buys ;)"

Oh yay....let me know what you end up reading. Especially, if it's one I haven't read yet.

message 5620: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Stacia, I haven't read book 5 yet and don't think that I will. In some ways, I've given up on the series. But if any of you say that book 6 is worth it, then I may pick that one up.

Caitlyn, I love The Bronze Horseman. You'll have to let us know how you like it.

message 5621: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jenndiaz16) | 8 comments All In I just finshed reading this!! hot hot hot is all I can say! Its well written from the man's POV. loved it!

message 5622: by Domino (aka Meme) (new)

Domino (aka Meme) (bryghtstarr) | 231 comments finished Taking a Shot (Play by Play, #3) by Jaci Burton and totally enjoyed it. now i'm reading Riding Wild (Wild Riders, #1) by Jaci Burton . it's taking me a bit to get into the main characters but i think it'll get better as i read.

message 5623: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I just can't get a break ladies. I feel like I have been stressed out since June. I need a new (view spoiler)! So last night I started reading Tied Up, Tied Down (Rough Riders, #4) by Lorelei James and I am enjoying it. I took several years off of this series and it is nice to be back. Leea, I saw you were bored with this one but I am really liking the idea that the lead used to have a stressful job and now owns her own business in Wyoming and is curvy, haha.

message 5624: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Regina, I'm sorry you're so stressed. Do you think it's the company that is causing this? Do you think you'll be happier at another? I'm actually opposite. I work in a non profit and I'm bored out of my mind where I'm practically reading at work most days. I've been wanting to find a new job for awhile now but I'm sticking it out bc it gives me a family/work balance. I actually prefer not to work but I have to. LOL

I want to get back into the Rough Riders. I've been away from that series for awhile. I may need to revisit some raunchy cowboys soon.

message 5625: by Leea (new)

Leea I'm so sorry Regina you're stressed. I hope it gets better soon :)

I read a few Rough Rider books but by #4 it just got old. Plus i'm not into Menage, doesn't do anything for me :) I can't understand it.

What book did you stop at, Kay!

How was your sons birthday? Did he have fun.

message 5626: by D.G. (new)

D.G. I finished Days of Blood & Starlight (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #2) by Laini Taylor . Loved the book but it was so freaking rough!

Now I'm reading Rainshadow Road (Friday Harbor, #2) by Lisa Kleypas and I really can't relate to this heroine. Her boyfriend left her for her sister and she doesn't seem that heartbroken about it. She also seem not to like men very much...why would you like to date if you don't like men? If you just want a man for jollies or company, get a vibrator and a cat!

Anyhow, I may start Magic Slays (Kate Daniels, #5) by Ilona Andrews as my next audio. I'm sad that I'm almost caught up with the series!

message 5627: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) #4 is the one with no menage Leea! It is funny because there is none -- and the other ones I have read (1, 2, 3, and 5) all have menage! LOL. #4 is the one about the sister from the pair of sisters from Californai who has a business making soaps and lotions and she finds herself pregnant with Kade McKay's daughter.

I started #6, which is the other sister from the pair. And so far it is good. I was cracking myself up thinking that Rough Riders is kinda like Virgin River except Virgin River has no anal sex, ropes and sex, or menage. LOL.

The dreamlake series is just not that interesting. I have had the audio of #3 on my computer for awhile and I feel guilty because it is taking up all this space and I don't think I will listen to it.

Kay, it is my career. I have been at 3 lawfirms now - they are all the same. I just (view spoiler)

message 5628: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) ANd LOL about prefering not to work - me too! But I am the breadwinner. It is a decision we made awhile ago, so now I am kind of stuck. I know it sounds silly, you are bored out of your mind at work Kay and I am jealous about that!

message 5629: by Leea (new)

Leea I understand how you feel Regina, even though we live opposite lives in some aspects. I'm looking forward to going back to work soon, i've started looking into going back to school or maybe just finding something part time.

message 5630: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I can understand. My husband feels the same way. It is hard to work around the kids' schedules.

I am enjoying Branded as Trouble (Rough Riders, #6) by Lorelei James -- so far no menage! :D

message 5631: by Leea (new)

Leea Sorry, I may have gotten my RR books confused. Haha!

message 5632: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I am hoping it stays that way. I know a menage comes back in #7.

message 5633: by Chantal (new)

Chantal | 1 comments Just want to say thanks for all the great book/series suggestions! I'm VERY new to goodreads and have been just overwhelmed (in a good way) with the amount of interesting books listed!
I'm currently on a Christine Feehan kick, re reading Mind Games.

I read Rough Riders 1-3. I really enjoyed #3.

My son's bday was fun and I'm so glad it's over. We had about 20 kids and their parents. It wasn't as stressful as my 1 year old's party this year. Here's a pic...I still don't know how to embed: http://instagram.com/p/R35BRCs_aX/

Apparently i'm just a mess today... Disregard my pervious posts. I blame being up most of the night with my nephew who spent the night but ended up with a 101 temp and throwing up - fun times! Haha!

message 5638: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) LOL Leea! Oh no about your nephew, but what a great aunt you are!

Kay that does look fun -- he is REALLY REALLY cute! And what a cake! Did you invite parents too, or did they just hang around?

My favorite series! Gotta love them cowboys. Also the Blacktop Cowboy series is really good.

I finished At Last (Lucky Harbor, #5) by Jill Shalvis and started One Hot Cowboy Wedding (Spikes & Spurs, #4) by Carolyn Brown . So far its really good!

message 5640: by D.G. (new)

D.G. I finished Rainshadow Road (Friday Harbor, #2) by Lisa Kleypas and I liked it way more than I thought I would!

Now I'm supposed to read a book for a challenge but I need to decide what that is...

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Welcome to the group Chantal!

Kay, I'm looking forward to reading Mr. Real as well. Regina seemed to really like it, so that has me hopeful. I got the galley but haven't found a spot to fit it in at yet.

Started Leave Me Breathless (Ross Siblings, #3) by Cherrie Lynn and I think I'm going to end up loving this one because I got halfway in last night without stopping to take a break.

message 5642: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Regina wrote: "Kay that does look fun -- he is REALLY REALLY cute! And what a cake! Did you invite parents too, or did they just hang around?"

Thanks! He had fun. All the parents were around so it got kind of chaotic for a minute. LOL

Stacia (Ace of Skates) wrote: "Kay, I'm looking forward to reading Mr. Real as well. Regina seemed to really like, so that has me hopeful. I got the galley but haven't found a spot to fit it in at..."

We should read it together. I actually read the first 2 chapters but I think I wasn't in the mood at the time I picked it up.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Sounds like a plan. I need at least a week or more though because I have to get through a few other planned things.

message 5644: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Megan, you really seem to blaze through the Lucky Harbor series. I read #1-2 and thought it was okay. Does it get better at 3?

Just let me know when. We still need to continue with the Moreno brothers at some point. So many books...so little time.

message 5646: by Leea (new)

Leea I need to read Mind Games - I'm kind of stuck again with Mercenaries. I need to either power thru or pick something else. haha!

message 5647: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) LOL! Maybe it's just gonna hold your interest now? Where did you get?"

message 5648: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments Finished Shadow Kin (The Half-Light City, #1) by M.J. Scott ...it was not that great. Lots of typos and the POV changed back and forth and it was in first person. Now that's confusing.

Started Reign of Shadows (The Ruby Throne Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Chester .

message 5649: by Leea (new)

Leea Wendy F wrote: "LOL! Maybe it's just gonna hold your interest now? Where did you get?""

Same spot, 60% they're in Thailand. I haven't read all weekend and it sucks. haha!

I feel bad because I have all these books I want to read and a few Arcs that need to be read but I'm a slow reading now days.

No doubt. Maybe closer to the end of the month if that's okay?

Just finished Leave Me Breathless (Ross Siblings, #3) by Cherrie Lynn and loved it. I didn't like Ghost more than I liked Brian from Rock Me, but Ghost and Macy's story had less stupid drama in it. This might be one of my smut book favorites for the year.

Back to working on Pandemonium (Delirium, #2) by Lauren Oliver and will be starting Shadows (The Rephaim, #1) by Paula Weston tomorrow with a friend.
