I am currently reading a classic that I started near Halloween yet continuing to drag on with..good book, I just found that I was a bit busy and kept putting it down. Should be done soon....."
I really enjoyed Dracula.I thought the way it was written diary,letters,telagraphs,ect..was very unique.

Happy New Year!! (All my out-of-state guests left yesterday. Good times!)

hahaha no, not thrilled; but I can't start a book and not finish it (unless its BAD but I try and not pick those out in the first place ;)) so I read it all. I had a study going with it that I had to write things in the "slots" though so it kept me going waiting for the "next thing" to do. ;P I did not like Frankenstein although it was very well written; I liked the style of writing. But I didn't mind Jekyll/Hyde; that one was more like a life analogy to me whereas Frankenstein was obvs steered towards being a horrow/suspense story....quite morbid, really. But yes- I found Jekyll/Hyde interesting and liked the bit of British humor in the beginning. I liked Utterson and Poole, the butler. :) however I would not care to re-read either. ;) right now for school I'm reading the Deadliest Monster; which applies life lessons and things to the two books. pretty interesting. :)

I've never read Dr. J & Mr. H. Not sure if I ever would.

After I finished my last book yesterday I started The Inside Story

oh Carol - let me know how you like that please. I read Mrs. Dalloway last year and I watched "The Hours" (movie) which I loved. There are times when I can really relate to Ms. Woolf. (I had tried reading the book The Hours but couldn't get into it- I may give it another go, but I'm not sure).

And re-reading

I read them as well. Let me know what you think. There is also a prequel that was just published recently.

Cari, I absolutely love The Book Thief. One of my favorite books ever. I have only read excerpts of Night. It seems like one of those books that you have to brace yourself to read, but I definitely want to read it.

I finished the other book I was reading (Council of Mirrors) and then read I Heart New York

I am just starting Paper Moon

Beth, I just finished it and it's a really, really lovely classic fairytale. I've just added the author's other fairytale books to my wishlist :-)

Yes, it's her newest one I think, Princess of the Wild Swans

I'm now reading Dragonfriend

oooh I'm going to have to look into those, thanks Beth!

Excellent book! Love her writing! Very different (stream of consciousness) and autobiographical. A must read!

You're welcome :) If you decide the read them, let me know if you like them.

Just abut to start Falling for Mr Darcy! Excited for my first P&P sequel - taking the plunge into the work of sequels!

And now I am reading The Doctor's Lady by the same author.

They were all enjoyable reads (esp. the 2 by Mary Connealy!)
I'm now reading

They are really good. In my opinion the perfect pace, and a good story.
Especially Books which have slow beginnings, but you stick with it and then it gets really really good - you wonder, why the slow beginning!?
Or even worse slow beginnings followed by equally slow middles and ends...
