Me too! ;)
Finished
by Bonnie Blythe last night. Pretty good. ;)And I got some books from the library & from my sis-in-law just a few minutes ago! :)
I am reading
.It is really good so far but I love Julie Kagawa's writing. She is one of my favorite YA fantasy writers.
Earlier I finished reading
by Mary Shelley. This novel turned out to be nothing like what I was expecting. I was expecting a generic horror story about a monster but what I got was so much more complex, it's actually quite a philosophical story really. I was extremely surprised and impressed by the actual story itself. I really enjoyed this book and I'm happy I finally got around to reading this classic. My full review is here. I'm planning to read
by Janet Evanovich next.
Not reading at all! (I hope its ok to post this here.) We have power but my parents don't so they are here, and need help (dad blind, mom can't walk too good).Effects of Hurricane Sandy --
NYC FDR Drive flooded-

Hopefully all power will be restored by this weekend. As of today 44 million in the Northeast still have no power.

Oh Alice - we went to Hampton Court Palace this past weekend. I really hope you get to visit this place someday!! It's my favorite palace so far that I've visited (I like it even better than Versailles). It's so much fun, very interactive and they do reenactments of days in the life of Henry VIII. So the day we were there they were reenacting when Henry and the French Ambassador signed the treaty between England and France. Cateryn Parr was his wife and they were walking around the palace all day. You'd see them in a hallway or something and have to bow or kneel lol it was so fun!!It's a huge palace but it actually feels "cozy" well for something so huge that is.
Like I said I really hope you get a chance to visit some day!!
AAAAGHH!!!! I LOVE CATHERINE PARR!!!!! I WANT TO GO SO BAD!!! Lol :D :D :D thanks for the description! :D
Alice if you want some more info on the Palace check out this site - I think it should be available for you to view (it's a UK site but since it's a tourist thing it should be viewable outside the UK). And it has information about 4 other palaces on there too. http://www.hrp.org.uk/HamptonCourtPal...
I finished reading
by Janet Evanovich this morning. Stephanie's adventures still make me laugh after 11 novels. There are so many hilarious and witty scenes in this book. But I have to admit I was a bit annoyed by Stephanie in this book. I just wish she'd finally choose between Joe Morelli and Ranger! http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...Now I'm reading
by Kate Morton.
Ellie....I love the Stephanie Plum books. You are right, she does make you laugh, but I too wish she would just choose. I am currently reading

Still reading
by George R.R. Martin am on page 453 so I think that's about half way through so hopefully I'll finish it soon - maybe even on the plane ride home since it's a long flight.I'm also reading
by Brandon Mull to the children. It's the 4th in a 5 book series that they are really enjoying. It's a wonderful YA Fantasy series if anyone is into Fantasy. It's about a family who is the caretaker of a secret preserve for mythical creatures.
We met the author at my middle daughter's school a couple of years ago, he's a very nice man and he was really wonderful with the students. He has another series out called The Beyonders that my daughter says is really good. and she also loved his stand alone book,
, the Candy Shop War.
I am currently reading
(LOVE!!!) and
(<3 <3 <3). I've always meant to read both of these books, and I am enjoying them both so much!! Also, I'm reading
during my morning Bible study,
for my upcoming college CLEP, and
<-- this Lamplighter book that I keep not reading. :/

Looks like a great book!"Yes -- I'm loving it! I love the author's theology, and it's always amazing how there's always something new in the Bible. :)

I've finished reading
by Kate Morton today. I thought it was beautifully written with just enough twists and turns to keep the reader interested. It was obviously very well researched - I loved the WW2 bits. Those scenes were so vivid that I felt I was actually there! I found the pace of the novel, especially in the first half, to be rather slow. I thought the author spent too much time describing the various settings in the novel. It got really tiresome in places but the pace does pick up again in the second half. I loved the ending! The twist at the end completely surprised me. I wasn't expecting that! I'm usually quite good at predicting what's going to happen next in novels but that twist was a huge surprise! http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Now I'm a couple of chapters into
by Karen Kingsbury.
