Yep. I get lost every day. I once got lost on my way to a friends house, who only lives up the road. I still have no idea how i managed that, either...

Can you read a full paragraph that is written backwards? (it's fun)

message 302: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

How many words do you read per minute?

What are the skills in your quiver you are most proud of?

message 304: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

Jonathan Terrington (thewritestuff) | 457 comments Mod
I don't store my skills in quivers. I tend to wear them trapped inside my clothing where I can release them at will. But in all seriousness my ability to turn a phrase and my skills in basketball probably. My skills which are strengths and skills obtained through practice.

Do you have a job?

message 305: by Julius, He Who Arises in Might (:D) (new)

message 310: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

message 312: by Linda (new)

Linda (lindacee) | 130 comments Um, would you believe me if I said I've never really done anything crazy?

What's the most romantic song you've ever heard? (sorry, I'm listening to "Wanted" by Hunter Hayes and it definitely qualifies for my favorite)

message 313: by Julius, He Who Arises in Might (:D) (new)

Julius (bookseeker007) | 1781 comments Mod
Let me think... Well, the songs that come to mind are probably 'When You Say You Love Me' and 'In Her Eyes' both done by Josh Groban.

Do you like pumpkin seeds?

message 314: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

message 316: by Julius, He Who Arises in Might (:D) (new)

Julius (bookseeker007) | 1781 comments Mod

What are your thoughts on the Banshee?

message 317: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

Jonathan Terrington (thewritestuff) | 457 comments Mod
The mythology, the comics character/s or the film version? I don't believe in those kinds of spirit stories but they are good entertainment and the characters are interesting.

Do you do more or less schoolwork (I'm including any scholarly type work) than you should?

message 318: by Julius, He Who Arises in Might (:D) (new)

Julius (bookseeker007) | 1781 comments Mod
Honestly, sometimes both ways. It really depends on the subject.
And I was referring to the mythology. Which leads us into our next question:

What is your favorite type of mythology (besides that of the Greeks and Romans)?

message 319: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

Jonathan Terrington (thewritestuff) | 457 comments Mod
Probably Norse, Egyptian or maybe a bit of the Irish myths (some would say Christian but I don't believe it's mythology so there you go)

If you could choose any gadget to have from any book/film which one?

What's the best Kung-fu movie you've ever watched?

message 321: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

Jonathan Terrington (thewritestuff) | 457 comments Mod
I really don't watch many. I watch more action with guns and explosions. But anything with Jackie Chan in it is good. Oh and I know was it Kingdom of Heaven with both Jackie Chan and Jet Li?

Beard or clean shaven?

message 322: by Julius, He Who Arises in Might (:D) (new)

Julius (bookseeker007) | 1781 comments Mod
I'm not sure, in answer to your Jackie Chan and Jet Li question.

Beard, but not one that will run away with me.

Did you like the cartoon series Dragon Ball Z back when it was really big?

Do you find it easier to give directions visually or orally?

message 324: by Julius, He Who Arises in Might (:D) (new)

Julius (bookseeker007) | 1781 comments Mod
As a rule, visually.

And now my last question before I sign off for the night (it's 1 in the morning where I am):

If you had to choose which one of the following misfortunes to have befall you, which would you choose?

Trapped back in the time of the dinosaurs with a pistol that had six shots, stranded forever in the horrible world of Todd in the book the Knife of Never Letting Go, or trapped under the sea in a submarine that has, at least for the moment, stopped working?

message 325: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

Jonathan Terrington (thewritestuff) | 457 comments Mod
probably either of the first two I'd feel I had more control and thus more chance of survival. Probably feel that with the second one as I'd have other people around me I'd feel and fare better than the first.

Favourite sci-fi tv show?

message 326: by Zoe (new)

Zoe | 30 comments Docter Who :)

Funniest quote from a book?

message 327: by Linda (new)

Linda (lindacee) | 130 comments This isn't as funny taken out of context and in case you've never read Terry Pratchett's The Wee Free Men (Discworld, #30) I guess I should point out that the Nac Mac Feegle are little blue men with Scottish accents, kilts and no sense of self-preservation:

“Even in a dream, even at a posh ball, the Nac Mac Feegle knew how to behave..... You charged in madly, and you screamed... politely.

Do you like making candy?

Say you believed the rumors concerning December 2012. What, in your most well thought out guess, do you think would be the most likely catostrophic event?

Most likely some kind of space related event. Perhaps the rise of a solar flare that destroys all technology on Earth. Or an asteroid that smashes into the water on Earth and causes a major problem? Who knows what disaster the Mayans could have worked out would occur?

And also yes I like icecream very much! Mint choc chip!

Is there any type of novel you won't read for certain?

Anything with romance (ergh...)

Favourite element out of Fire, Water and Earth?

message 339: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

Jonathan Terrington (thewritestuff) | 457 comments Mod
Water. Fire hurts and if I were buried in Earth it would prove torturous but I love being able to walk in the rain and swim in a pool.

Have you ever lost something important like a wallet or keys?

message 340: by Julius, He Who Arises in Might (:D) (last edited Aug 06, 2012 12:10AM) (new)

Julius (bookseeker007) | 1781 comments Mod
Well, earth would be the most useful where I am right now so probably that (if you're talking about manipulation).

What's the most dangerous creature you've ever seen up close in real life?

I once almost left my wallet on a counter in a store when I was paying for something, but I remembered it before I left.

Favorite cartoon character?

message 342: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

Jonathan Terrington (thewritestuff) | 457 comments Mod
I love Spidey and Batman. Recently been getting into the Clone Wars tv series so I guess you could say I love those cartoon characters too :p

As for dangerous animal. I had the fortune of being able to go to a zoo where I was right up near the bars of the tiger and lion exhibits. If I wanted I could have touched the tiger and lost my finger or hand. I've been right near Koalas and Kangaroos too (they're more deadly than you'd think!)

Do Americans really think Aussies ride kangaroos to school or is it the emus that we ride :p ?

Ever been to the beach, and if so how did you like it?

Jonathan Terrington (thewritestuff) | 457 comments Mod
Yeah we're surrounded by beaches here. Got some nice surf fronts and a lovely Gold Coast up north. The beaches are great!

Can you drive solo?

message 346: by Julius, He Who Arises in Might (:D) (new)

Yes and no; can't use the family van alone, but still getting the hang of the stick-shift car.

Can you drive stick?

message 347: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

Jonathan Terrington (thewritestuff) | 457 comments Mod
Nope, I drive auto currently. Mainly cause it's easier with things the way they are. I'll get into manual later in life when I can afford it and I have my full licence.

Do you like being alone or around other people?

Hhmmm.

Do you like The Islander by Nightwish?

message 349: by Julius, He Who Arises in Might (:D) (new)

Julius (bookseeker007) | 1781 comments Mod
Depends on a number of things. I can be a loner when the mood hits me, but more oft I like company. I've always enjoyed meeting new people who share my interests. Then again, if I'm surrounded by a group of half-wits or block-heads, I'll take the nearest exit open.

Have you ever written a song?
