I have oftentimes imagined what it would be like to live the adventures of the Hobbit or Where the Red Fern Grows. But the Middle-earth adventure I think would win out. And no, I would not be a lead, but rather one who somehow finds himself involved in the business of every one else.

Well, there's always science behind these things. But mostly this one is based off of the predictions made by an ancient people named the Mayans. But, as our good friend and associate Jonathan will know quite well, this world still has a little over a thousand years to remain. The question is: Will something enormous happen?

Yes I've done that with a few books. Normally though I'll only get about two thirds in. Once I'm past halfway I go: might as well finish.
All I know about the Celts is that they have nice music and an interesting history. I've always been more interested in the history side but I don't know as much as I should when it comes to the Celts.
@Triv - the whole 2012 end of the world thing is based on the fact that the Mayans had a calendar that counted upwards till 2012. So various people assume it means an astrological event that could end the world. Some think it could be an asteroid, others a particular solar flare which would short out most of our technology and others come up with other opinions.
I think it could be some kind of event. But it won't be the end of the world kind of event. It could be something that causes a major panic but more likely could be nothing.
