YA fantasy! This novel has flying horses, a love triangle, teen rebellion, and poisoned horses. What more could anyone ask?

Great for teens, okay for middle grade--there's some romance but no sex.

Kerri-Lynn Fummerton says "As a fan of The Monkees Tv show and their music I enjoyed this book it is well written and you really get into the story, I know I could not put it down I was on the edge of my seat reading it trying to figure out who the real murderer was. I hope there is a sequel."

Rick Phillips | 8 comments Here is a link to my Superhero novel Project:Hero. http://www.lulu.com/shop/rick-l-phill... An old homeless man is found lying in the gutter, dead from old age. They discover that he was once the World War II superhero called Flag-waver. Daniel Urich, a wealthy retired superhero, wants to make sure nothing like this happens to the currently active superheroes and finds a way to help them. But a threat from the past comes to the present and now this loosely gathered team of heroes must stand up to it.
Vinnie of Make it so Marketing says "The story was very well done. It was told from a unique perspective, The heroes have unique names that in some cases don't give away their abilities. The story is told with great detail and not filled with useless information that has nothing to do with the plot. The characters are developed well but not everything is told so more can be uncovred in future books. Everything is kept in balance and developed very well. If you like comic book superheroes or just the current movies based on them then you will like this book."

Charlotte Smith | 1 comments Hello! I would like to introduce my first publication Sherlock Holmes And The Murder At Lodore Falls which is available direct from MX Publishing and also Amazon.com. Waterstones and other book sellers. From the well-worn tin dispatch box belonging to Dr J. H. Watson, three untold stories are brought to light. In Sherlock Holmes and The Murder At Lodore Falls, Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson are drawn into a case that involves murder, blackmail and robbery. It is a case that leads to danger to both Homes and Watson and brings a confrontation with their old adversary. With Dr Watson facing his own personal nightmares, will Holmes be able to solve the mystery and help his troubled friend? The two other tales are Christmas stories. In The Adventure Of The Wooden Boat, Dr Watson is haunted by an old tragedy and copes by building a model boat, which is an old family tradition. In The Call of Angels, Dr Watson has an accident while travelling back to Baker Street and is aided by a mysterious stranger. Who is this mysterious stranger? Sherlock Holmes is determined to uncover the truth, but all is not as it appears as his investigation comes to a stunning conclusion.

Thought For Today - June 22
Rejoice Greatly In Our Salvation.!

"The king shall joy in thy strength, O Lord, and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!"
We ought to rejoice greatly in our salvation. Let us meditate on the strength and power of God our father. Consider his holiness ,and think of what it means for us to be saved from his righteous wrath and judgment. If we were to receive that which we deserve based upon our own righteousness and merits, we would find ourselves in the deepest hell. But God loves us from the beginning, and gave himself for us so that we might escape his judgment, and be given an inheritance in his household. For this we ought to greatly rejoice.
"Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips." Psalm 21: 2.
Let us also consider our position in the household of God our father. As his redeemed children, we can come boldly to his throne of grace and make our desires known to him, and he always gives to us whatever he sees will be best for us, for our good and his glory. When we ask, we receive, and he grants the desires of our heart.
"For thou preventest him with the blessing of goodness: thou set a crown of pure gold on his head: he asked life of thee, and thou gave it him, even length of days for ever and ever." Psalm 21:3
God daily goes before us and pours out his blessing upon us in ways that we do not understand. His mercy is great, and his salvation is free.
For all these reasons we ought always rejoice and give God the praise.
Thank you Lord!

Hi everyone,

My first novel was published earlier this year on the Kindle.

Here's a short blurb:
Carrie, a successful children's author is receiving threatening letters. As they escalate she meets Jake, a respected entrepreneur and VERY single millionaire. Their attraction is as scary to Carrie as it is distracting from the threats. Once Jake knows what's happening he gives all the support a man in love can give. But Carrie retreats behind a solid wall and stays there until a chance encounter brings that emotional wall crashing down. For how long.......a while, or forever?

It's been described as a sweet love story and also as a steamy read. I wonder which one you'll go for?

It's also offered FREE 28th June - 30th June to celebrate my imminent holiday!
The Millionaire Falls Hard by Sarah Fredricks

Get it here next weekend: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00768T7DK

A. Jr. | 4 comments Hello all,
My first book was published in October '11 "Purgatory"
(Blurb)-In the spirit of King, Laymon, Little, and Keene comes a collection of 13 Tales of Horror and the Macabre. One story begins in the name of research when a world-famous horror author spends the night alone in one of the most haunted houses around, Ritter House, only to discover that reality is much more horrific than fiction. In Road Trip, a man must travel across state lines to identify his brother’s dead body and drive him home in the back of his station wagon to a mortuary run by a dead man. A man has 2 hours to try and prevent a catastrophe in the building that his wife works in. Only, he can’t recall how or why, his only clue is the recurring nightmare he had 2 hours earlier, the clock ticks in Tic Toc. Christmas will never be the same again for a little boy in Santa Claws, and an old wooden box in a warehouse carries a story all its own in The Crate. A trip into Purgatory will open the door to these stories and more.
Thanks for reading!

Thought For Today - June 23
Does God forget us?

Read Psalm 22: 1-31.

“My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken Me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them." Psalm 22: 1-4.
Even as David prayed and wondered why it was that it seemed that God had forsaken him in his times of great distress, we sometimes pose the same question.
This prayer of David was a forerunner of the prayer of Christ when he was hanging on the cross. In his humanity he cried out: "My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?".
When we are in pain or troubles, and it seems that no help comes, does it not seem that God has forsaken us? In these times of darkness and desperation we must keep trusting and believing God and we shall be delivered.
God delivered David from the hand of Saul and made him a great king, and God delivered his own son, the Lord Jesus Christ from the power of the grave, and gave him power over death for all of us. So, even in darkness we must keep our faith in the promises of God and continue to live in the light of his word, and be assured that we will be delivered.

The Quillogy Begins: Of Quills and Kings (Book I)

Jonathan Quintain is a naïve young man reluctant to assume leadership after the Baron abandons the castle with his mistress and most of the staff. Things go from bad to worse when the castle is turned upside down by a miscast spell, freeing Walpole, the so-called sacred hedgehog of Yurle.

It is in the unfamiliar and dangerous lands of Yurle that Jonathan discovers the challenges of life outside the confines of the castle, and more importantly, learns the true depths of Walpole's devious nature and his ultimate plan for humankind.

Praise for Of Quills and Kings:

“This is no cute fairy-tale. Instead it's a rollicking fantasy that tumbles cheekily along, pausing only to give us the literary equivalent of a wedgie when we least expect it. Joel Reeves' début novel is often surprising, frequently wicked, and a lot of fun.”
-Ros Jackson, Warpcore SF

“Very funny, entertaining novel. And who could possibly resist a demon hedgehog as the villain? Very imaginative, unique, and fun with interesting and amusing characters.”
-Martha Harris, Amazon

‘Of Quills and Kings’ is an exciting fantasy novel from start to finish, and a top pick for community library fantasy collections and their customers.”

Thought for today -June 26
Wait on the Lord.

"Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait I say on the Lord." Psalm 27: 14.
One of the most difficult lessons we must learn as the children of God is to realize that God's ways are not our ways, and God's timing is not our timing. We want things, and we want them now, and even yesterday, if that were possible. God has told us in his word that whatsoever things we have need of , to ask of him and he will provide them for us as he sees fit. God knows and sees the end from the beginning, and the beginning from the end, and he knows what is best for us, and the right time for answering our petitions.
We know that God will not withhold any good thing from us if it will profit us and bring glory to himself. When we have learned this lesson to wait patiently for God to fulfill his purposes in our lives, then we have great peace and contentment in knowing that however long it takes, God will come to our rescue and meet all our needs.
