If you haven't heard of her check her out. There's a lot of stuff on her on the net, though most of her books are out of print. As for Katy I discovered "The High Chaparell" which I've got on Kindle. Haven't read it yet, though I did read "What Katy Did Next", "What Katy Did at School" and "Clover" when I was about twelve. And I loved them.
Yes! We have a huge charity book shop in Aberdeen it is piled from floor to ceiling with books. I got 2 there and 2 more in another charity shop called Bosies
Ooo very cool!We used to have a charity book shop too but it was so out of the way most people didn't know it existed!
Finally finished the Adrian Mole book - dont know whether it is just cos things have been so hectic or not, but I really didn't enjoy it so it is going on the charity pile rather than on the shelf with the other Adrian Mole books. Not sure what paperback is to be read next, or how many there are now. Will have to have a count up once the housework is done.
I had I think 3 left to read (the last few she wrote) and I'll be done. Must read em soon.Good going Desley :) i've never read any Adrian Mole books. Tbh, apart from the title I know nothing about them
I have 32 paperbacks left to read. The one i am reading shouldn't take long as it is another Robbie Williams book and the third i have read this year so would be surprised if there is anything new!
Haha, yes, might of been better to spread them out more.I don't think I've ever read a biography I enjoyed :S
I've decided to change my December 'challenge' and I'm going to only read books I bought in 2011 to try and get them down - I am actually deleting a few, as quite a few were when I only had the Kindle app and I just downloaded random freebies!! I'm really enjoying reading Goodreads authors this month, but not looking forward to reading paperbacks only next month - although I have promised a few reviews, and they can only be read on the Kindle.
You are definitely doing better than me Desley. I've been spending my time this Summer reading NEW books which just defeats the purpose of my challenge haha!
Another two paperbacks read, and part way through a third. Glad I have finally read my last Robbie autobiography, although interestingly, despite it being my third this year, I did find out a couple of new things about his childhood, and this was a fairly new one that covered the early part of his relationship with his wife.
Well my month of only reading paperbacks didn't go that well, although i suspected it wouldn't, as i had a lot on. Plus i think one of the reasons I have read so much this year is by reading two at once which i haven't been doing this month. Anyway, 30 paperbacks to go, might finish them this time next year!
Just finished the last paperback I started in my month of paperbacks. Not sure how I will get on for the next couple of weeks, as the bedroom is being decorated and I doubt I am going to get much time to read.
Congrats Desley!I'm reading strictly uni books at the minute until I get a good grasp on my schedule :)
