Hey DhesI'm in!
My challenge (other than reading the books in January)
..OK I know it's a challenge and everything, but who am I kidding...I can't (at the present time) read anything on the NY Times Bestsellers List..nothing catches my fancy.
.. so I've changed my reading list (I hope that's OK?)
..by the way..The 'Lucky Harbor Series' was AMAZING!!

I'm waiting to see what the other challenges for Jan 2012 are before deciding on my challenge for WLLK. But since Jan is my b-day month, I can guarantee it will be easy as hells. There will be no stressing out over not completing a challenge next month.
Thank you, UM! Yes, I'm still at the age where birthdays are something you tell complete strangers like you expect them to give two shits.
Lady D - it's hard to believe we're already into a new year of challenges, isn't it??? Glad you're with us :)

But I really love the reading challenges! It brightens up my whole month!
Hi Dhes! I think I'm going to list the books I plan to read - they're library loans. I hope I can get them back without too many late fees - the head librarian hates me. (she never wants to renew my loans)1.

Zumbagirl, you have some good books on your list. I love Lions and Lace. I wish Meagan McKinney was still writing!

I've got my first Maggie Osborne's in there and a few series that I've already started. The only thing is all my books are due in 2 weeks!! Sigh.

I know a lot of the girls love Maggie Osborne. She's a good writer, but I didn't fall in love with her like some of the HR fans. Meagan McKinney writes very intense, old school HR with cruel-type heroes. I'll be waiting to see what you think.
I'm in! December was a bad reading month and I am feeling motivated in January! My goal is to read 10 books, I will post as I go!January Motivation Book Challenge

Aly, how do you like Carrie Lofty's writing? I have a couple of books by her but haven't read them yet.
UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "Aly, how do you like Carrie Lofty's writing? I have a couple of books by her but haven't read them yet."I didn't care for Flawless. I liked the premise behind the series but found the story slow and tedious and I didn't connect with any of the characters. So I won't tryStarlight when it releases. The only thing I did like was that it was away from the usual London ballrooms for a change.

It's the beginning of another new year of challenges here in the We Love Lisa Kleypas group! As always, I want these challenges to be only as challenging as you want them to be, and most importantly, I want them to be fun!!!!
~~As with all our Build Your Own Challenge challenges, you get to decide how to make this work for you.
~~Any books you choose to read for any Not Too Challenging Challenge can be overlapped with other challenges as well.
~~Any books you read from challenges outside of this group can count towards the challenges here.
The only requirement for this challenge is that the books you read must somehow remind YOU of January!
Published in January? Works!
Character named January? Works!
The story takes place in January? Yep, it works!!
It reminds you of January because you read it in January? WORKS!!!
Restrictions:
You can list your books any time and make changes to your list right up until January 31st. The only restriction is that you can’t begin reading from this list until January 1st.
If you're interested, please sign up below and remember to post your stats at the top of your page so that I can easily read them and update them.
