Welcome to the group Sabrina! It's funny what triggers our love of romance, or brings us back into the fold. I'd given up on it for years until a particular book (Twilight) made me realise there was a whole other genre sitting staring at me that I hadn't realised was romance!

I see a book for everyday of the month , how do you beep up with all of them

There are occasional buddy reads going on too that you might be interested in. I'm sure there are other options, but that is all I can think of off the top of my head.
Also, a lot of people use a Reading List thread to keep track of their challenges.

Click on 'Member's Reading List' to open that folder, then click on 'new topic' at the top of the list on the right. It will open a thread for you - give it a title like 'Shay's Reading List'. Then you organize the posts in whatever fashion makes sense to you. I always started with just a book list of all the books I read during the year, but you should look at a few of the other threads to see how others do things.

From the app, you go to the group, then to the Member's Reading List folder and in the upper right there is a plus sign ( + ). You use that to add a new topic. I only use the app for little things though, I know it is harder to add links in the app and you can't 'reply' to someone so that their comment is quoted in yours. I've also never found a way to edit or delete from the app either.

Looking forward to this group to share thought.
Thank you!:)

Thank you! Am looking around now!

Thank yoU!

Welcome!

Welcome to the group Noorsheen - it's interesting how we stumble on to groups. I can't remember how I decided to join this particular GR group, but I love being a member, so it doesn't really matter ;)

Hey Jacqueline - don't be shy to comment. Whilst you may not always get a response, everyone is really open to chatting and getting stuck into our challenges :)
I think I have 'The Deal' down on a wishlist somewhere, but haven't read the other two books you listed ~ too busy shifting my Mount TBR pile ;) The main thing is that you either enjoyed them, or worked out what didn't work so that you can avoid similar books in the future!
Have fun and don't be backwards in asking about anything :D

Welcome!

Hi Val - welcome to the group! I don't recognise either of those series, so I'm off to look :)

I obviously love reading and joined mostly so I can know about even more books, like any other book addict.
I like many types of books, preferably with romance. I avoid YA and pure erotica because they no longer appeal to me.
I was wondering, does anyone know if the 2016 yearly challenges will be the same ones posted for 2015 or will there be other thematic ones?

You've all joined at a great time, with all the yearly challenges just about to get underway. And as Kat said, we have a new quarterly starting in the middle of December. Jump on in and get settled ;)

I guess I should have also added....
I'm originally from Ohio but now call North Carolina home and I'm a librarian.

Are you also a goodreads librarian Shelly? There are a few of them around, but I'm not one ;) Not sure what the requirements are...

Well, I wanted to join a yearly challenge, but not the series or A to Zs variations because I want to use books from my TBR and I have this method of sort of distributing books through the months, so I don't want to have to stick with too many titles in a short amount of time, I prefer a year long pace.
I'm curious to see which new ones you all would add for 2016.

Not sure of the timeframe for posting the annual challenges but the hosts have them fairly ready :) I'm guessing they will put them up in the second half of December...

Hi Jane just saw your post abt u being interested in becoming a goodreads librarian....for that you can click on the tab jobs which is present at the end of the website's page just next to goodreads trade mark sign and about us tab.
When you click on that tab it will open a new page. There on the left hand side there is an option called Librarian Manual click on that and u will get
all the information regarding goodreads librarian.
I hope you find this information useful :)

Hi Jane, no I'm not a goodreads Librarian. I am a public librarian that specializes in genealogy and local history. I really enjoy it!

We have a similar joke "MountainKat". I think just about everyone in my family loves to read. I'm the only one that decided to turn it into a career. :)

Welcome to the gorup Harlow! If you are anything like me, you'll have trouble NOT adding books to your TBR pile. I see a new book (often repeatedly read by our members) and can't help but *click*! ;)
