This is Mikaia making her existence know to fellow delusionists, hello to everyone opting for a fictional name because you refuse to belong to a particular place, person, race, community or religion! I belong to the world!!! and it belongs to me!!

Jump on in on any of the challenges - ereader, book boyfriends and all! ;)

I'd suggest starting with one of the levels in the Monthly Challenge here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
or any of the other challenges in that folder :) They repeat each month and it gives you an idea of the sort of challenges we run. We have longer ones too of course, but take your time and look around to see what appeals...

Oh yeah - that's a great one as well :) Thanks Kat!

thinks and I will. besides books are my choice of drugs.

Hope you love it here. ...And love the name Spooky for your dog!

Hi C. - I hope you like it here! I love GR and am so glad I discovered it and RRRC! It is great to find so many kindred spirits and fellow book lovers!

Jody - I started on the challenges for exactly that reason - to pick which book to read next. When you have a few to choose from (or a LOT) the challenges really help give you some order :)
C - I joined back in 2009 (I think) and even then I wondered why I hadn't found this group/website sooner! At least we all made it!

Hi Lois - welcome to our group :) Hope you have fun poking around our threads!

I am Anna and new to this group. Not new to GR though, as I have been enjoying myself in the MMRomance Group for a couple of years...
I have lately started (tentatively) reading contemporary MF romance again after a 5 year hiatus, and was looking for a group to help me figure out which ones to pick...
So, hoping I am in the right place :-)

Hey Anna! Welcome to the group :) (Just read your updates in MMR on audiobooks.)
We have a heap of members who swap between MM and MF so I'm sure you'll find some members to help you on your way :)
Having said that I have difficulty finding good MF contemporary romance but I LOVE MM contemporary romance. Go figure!

I have the same issue. I lucked out with the first couple of MF romances I read after my long break, and naively thought that the genre had changed all the stiff that annoyed me way back when. But have since then realised this was obvisouly NOT the case, as the next couple of MF ones have been just the type of stuff I left the genre because of: TSTL needy heroines who can't seem to tie their own shoelaces and sexist jackasses for heroes who makes me want to bitch slap them and get far far away.
So, obviously, I need help sorting the crap ones from the good ones!

Basically I stick with mostly MM for contemporary and dip my toe in MF when a précis appeals... But some of the MF urban fantasy out there is great :D
We all have different tastes and I guess that's what makes reading so great.

Hi Anna, nice to have you here in this group as well!
Seems like we've the same thoughts on MF romance! ;-)

I'm Groovy. I read anything and everything with words on them. But as regards fiction, I love romance, which would make me a writer too, right? Correct!
One of my goals is to go into a bookstore where they sell old books and buy as many old romance novels (particularly Harlequins & Silhouette) and just read. I love the old stuff.
But until then, I hope to get to know all of you, and hope we can have some good, interactive discussions:)
Thanks!
