Oh Kristine I had completely forgotten that I bought this book last year! Are you finished reading it? I have moved it up my TBR. Thanks for reminding me of it :)

I read this a while back, it was alright. I didn't get as engrossed in it as I would have liked, but I liked it enough to want to read the next one to find out what happens to them. Hope you like it.

finished Defy (Defy, #1) by Sara B. Larson and it was totally anti-climatic.
Have also been reading Annie and Fia (Mind Games, #0.5) by Kiersten White , so I'm off to finish that now.

Keshia (keshiarobinson) | 37 comments At the moment I'm a little over halfway through Never Fade (The Darkest Minds, #2) by Alexandra Bracken . I'm really enjoying it although I think I like The Darkest Minds (The Darkest Minds, #1) by Alexandra Bracken better which is probably because Liam has basically been missing or almost dying of pneumonia for the first half of the novel. Other than that though, I missed Chubs and Ruby and I'm can't wait to find out where the hell Zu is. lol.

message 33360: by Teresa (new)

Teresa | 606 comments I just finished Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky, #1) by Veronica Rossi . It was hard getting into it but once I did I liked it. I found it a little confusing. I'm still not exactly sure what the Aether is so if anyone read it and can explain I'd appreciate it. Next up is Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2) by Richelle Mead .

You need to read the novella In Time (The Darkest Minds, #1.5) by Alexandra Bracken , it takes place right after the events of The Darkest Minds, and its about Zu!

the Aether is basically really bad storms in the sky that mess up the entire atmosphere over the planet. It's dangerous b/c it creates lighting and fires and such and it's hard to hide from it.

& I believe because the sky is so messed up, that there have been leaks of radiation that cause mutations, thereby creating those with "special gifts" over time. At least, that's how I perceive it.

And right you are Donna :) the Aether is what gave them their special senses but is also the biggest threat and that's why they need to find the Still Blue because presumably it's the only safe place left without the danger of Aether.

Okay, I'm going to have to start the third book now!! LOL

As for Significance, my two cents is that I loved the first two and wished it hadn't dragged on so much. It kind of lost the chemistry and sizzle that was between them after everyone else started finding their significants. Just my thoughts, but I loved the series even though it was completely far-fetched! =)

Yea but it was like the story never ended. It didn't tie up loose ends, there was still all that stuff to help form the uh.....I forgot the groupings of the people. The prophecy wasn't there one? That's what drove me nuts the overall feel of the book changed from book 1 to book 3 to me.

I bought the series based on the last book Shadowfever (Fever, #5) by Karen Marie Moning Hubby kept telling me about this book and finally I checked it out.$20 for a book I knew nothing about but the cover OMG! Amazing so I bought it only to get home and find out its the last boo in the series. so back to the store I went only to have to order the series anyways. At the time I was reading the IAD series so I was very occupied with reading Once the books arrived 2 days later I started the fist book and read straight through the series! <3 LOVED it!
