What Are You Reading? Part 1

The series is truly great. One of the best paranormal stuff I read.

It sounds really good. Also need to get to Flat-Out Love. Wanted to read it forever.

Both are really great Belkis. Sadie's Mountain gave me one huge book hangover. And Take My Hand series is awesome. Good thing that when you read it now, book 2 is out already and book 3 comes out at the end of January I think. Book 1 ends with one hell of a cliffhanger so waiting for book 2 was excruciating.

You know I haven't read

It really does have it's scary moments. More than most paranormal books I have read. So it might not be for you.

I love how the same book evokes different emotions depending on who reads it. I normally love to watch horror stuff or read horror stuff, but this book got to me more than most Stephen King stuff. Lol.

Love the Shattered Hearts series. This ones a great conclusion to the others. Enjoy!"
Thanks..."
I feel you Paula. It's fine if a series in meant to be a series where each book is centered on a different character's story. Or a really strong storyline that's meant to be "x" number of books. But some stories are just being stretched for the sake of writing more books! Argh! That really drives me nuts too. You go ahead and start reading a book that's supposed to be a trilogy and then on book 3 the author decides to tack on another couple more. That's so frustrating. If it's a spinoff story from the main one where you have the option to continue or stop isn't as bad but the whole stretching it out when there's no need is just NO. Two examples for me are:

Oh okay thank you very much for clearing the up for me Paula. And so I will continue not reading this series LOL!

Oh hey Kasey, missed ya! So The Deepest Cut wasn't too scary for you? I'm a really big chicken though LOL! Did you find The Exorcist scary? Is The Deepest Cut scary like that, or anywhere near that?

Oh definitely Paula, you're going to love Flat Out Love! It's such a great story.

Yeah I currently applaud every author that just plans three books and writes three books. And then calls it quits for this series. Just like Bella Jewel did with the MC Sinners. I love the series but she quit while it was good and did not drag it out into oblivion.

I have been looking forward to it for quite a while. Loved Left Drowning and if Flat-Out Love is written just half as well as that...I will be head over heels with the story.

Well thank goodness for small mercies then because cliffhanger endings are the absolute worse. I'll see if I can start them both in the next few weeks. Have such a big lineup of books to get through in January. And looking forward to our challenge with so many great books releasing :)

Hi! I hated the Exorcist and it terrified me, but

Paula, Flat Out Love was amazing! I think you'll really love it too!

Oh Kasey I hadn't heard of Fearsome. Looks quite interesting so of course I've added it to my TBR. And it's only .99 on Amazon! Love that. And what beautiful cover art. Did you enjoy it?

Wow Maddison, that's quite a reading lineup you've got going. Lots of good ones. I absolutely love Harry Potter, Legend, and The Hunger Games. All awesome.

I actually liked Flat Out Love a little more than Left Drowning Paula. Maybe because it was my first book by her? But I fell head over heels for the characters and the story in FOL. I think you're going to fall in love with them as well. It's bittersweet and full of heart gushing moments both beautiful and tearful. Definitely our kind of story :)

Oh Congratulations Kasey!! That's so fantastic. Babies are so wonderful. I hope you're feeling great. Sometimes the first couple of months can be a little tough.

Thanks :) and sticking with my chicken gut, I'll just have to deal with missing out on this one. Hahahaha!

Exactly, that's how it should be. What's the point of ruining a good story? I just don't get it. Just end it on a good note and then go write a new one.

You know, I started This Man earlier this month and just wasn't feeling it so I set it aside. I hope that when I decide to dive back in I feel differently about it. Maybe I'm saturated with the whole BDSM-like stories and there seems to be such an overwhelming amount of them. But with this one there seems to be a lot of mixed feeling, reviews, and ratings. Some readers love it and some hate it. Was it just Ava's character that frustrated you Tonje, or was it more? Did you enjoy the first book?

Aww thanks! I've been feeling pretty good but working tons of overtime so I've been MIA from the book world lol

How have you been feeling Kasey? Glad to see you have a little time to join us. Just wait until the little bundle of joy comes. All kinds of NO time to yourself.

I really enjoyed Sweet Evil so I don't know how much my opinion would help you lol but I thought Sweet Peril was better, a lot more exciting, Sweet Evil was more like set up and this one is more like the meat of the story. And I literally could not get over the tension between Anna and Kaidan omg it was killing me! I was basically yelling at the book haha

Haha Tracy I know! Lol work is finally slowing down so I'm getting more free time, but I've been feeling better the last week so thank goodness.

I liked Unraveling when I read it, it was pretty good. It was so long ago at this point that I would need a complete re-read to remember anything, though! =/

The first book wasn't bad in the MacKinnon series, but as it goes along this series became the scariest I've read other than EIT. I loved it, but it definitely isn't one to read late at night by yourself. LOL

Yeah, I never got back into either of those series and I'm glad that I haven't wasted my time at this point. Some day I'll read them, but there's no rush if they're just getting dragged out.

Wait, what??! He's back? That'll make a lot of readers happy, for sure. Yeah, I was happy with the guy (yeah, I was in the minority there) but not happy with the way they had to spend their HEA. The last book just didn't impress me at all, really, so I don't know if I'll read on. I loved the first two though!

I'm feeling the same lately, unfortunately! I've been catching up on blog reviews and they're almost always adult contemp romance, so I'm itching for YA or NA. Belkis had some great suggestions there!!

Shoot, there was a narrator that Cora Carmack was going on and on about at the book signing and I meant to remember his name. She said he had a British accent and was so good that she actually looked him up and bought all of his narrations!! It might have even been the narrator for her books that she was talking about, has anyone listened to the audio for

I totally agree with you on the BDSM. There are so many of them out there. I love the whole alpha male men, but I feel that with a man that Is so uber alpha as Jesse there need to be a women with backbone or at least some of It. I wanted to smash my kindle In the wall at times because she was so frustrating. He was frustrating too at times but there Is no words to describe Ava. The first one was good-ish haha, and I've read the second one and Im gonna read the third. Im too curious not to :-p
Im enjoying the books In a twisted way, I must be retarded myself because I keep reading books that make me want to rip my hair out. Haha.

Great suggestions Paula! Now I have another book to my endless TBR list. Hadn't heard of Sadie's Mountain. It sounds really good.
