So I finished I Stand Before You (Judge Me Not, #1) by S.R. Grey and it was meh. Way too much telling instead of showing, and I swear if I read the "my girl" or "my guy" cutesy names one more time I was going to scream! The writing wasn't bad per se, but lord she needs to move past the nicknames.

On the bright side, I'm currently reading Fighting Fate (Granton University, #1) by Linda Kage which is SO heart-wrenchingly beautiful and I am absolutely loving it!!

They definitely have some good scenes, but I wouldn't call it a 'chapter 62' by any means. I was more impressed with the emotional connection in this one, it made everything that much sexier!!

I definitely felt like there was a big shift for D here. He's always been this cocky bad boy, but now he's been humbled with the loss and fear for K, and it changed him. There was more passion and it felt like a more mature version of both of them, so i loved it!

Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments Okay so I finished Dark Light (Dark Light, #1) by S.L. Jennings and liked it a lot! Need to read book 2 ASAP! Need to know how it ends and of course more Dorian LOL! Also finished The Apollo Academy (Apollo Academy, #1) by Kimberly P. Chase and enjoyed it too. Good story and interesting writing done in 3 POVs between the 3 main characters. Then jumped into Gio (5th Street, #2) by Elizabeth Reyes didn't like this one much. Didn't care for the main characters at all. Hopefully the next book is better otherwise will drop the series. And then OMG! The Siren (The Original Sinners, #1) by Tiffany Reisz WHAT A MIND F@$K!! Holy shit! Calling this dark is nowhere even close. My God, this is black! And I LOVED It! So of course I'm now almost done with The Angel (The Original Sinners, #2) by Tiffany Reisz and it's AWESOME! And it just gets darker and darker and better and better!! LOVE IT! Of course I will be reading the next ones right after because it's not even a question LOL! So next up Seven Day Loan (The Original Sinners, #0.5) by Tiffany Reisz The Prince (The Original Sinners, #3) by Tiffany Reisz The Mistress (The Original Sinners, #4) by Tiffany Reisz Submit to Desire (The Original Sinners, #0.7) by Tiffany Reisz Little Red Riding Crop (The Original Sinners, #0.6) by Tiffany Reisz !!!

Laura, i think I remember Abbi Glines having a poll on her website a while back about which characters would the fans want to see get another story. That's why Cage & Eva got another book. Not that I'm complaining. I love Cage! But I would have rather had another Marcus & Low book!

I can't wait for you to read The Dark Prince (Dark Light, #2) by S.L. Jennings it's like a completely different ball field from book 1. I think some readers have dropped the series because of their frustration with her in a good portion of DL, but I can't stress enough how incredible book 2 is.
