Well let me just say that V.C. Andrews was way ahead of her time and of societies understanding of anything less than platonic. I was fift....very young when this book came out and it was so shocking to a lot of people because you didn't hear of same sex relationships or mixed race relationships much less incestuous relationships.

Oooh I loved it! The writing was incredible and heartbreaking. Have tissues on hand.

Agreed, the gifs were a bit much.

Actually, Cassandra Clare gets a lot of crap as well, I've never read a Charine Harris book, so I don't know about that.

Seems like Forbidden is making a come back. Been seeing it around a lot...."
I wouldn't be reading it right now, if Annie didn't have such spectacular status updates :)

I love this series, have you read Gallagher Girls series by her? I just reread them in preparation for the last one coming out next month, am soo excited :)

Oh wow. That's saying something. Maybe I should read this book if it affects you more than SGT.

That is true people either love or hate her books. Personally, I don't have a huge amount of love for them but I've enjoyed most of the books.

I have the Flowers in the Attic books and I bou..."
I know there's a movie of FitA coming out, so maybe that's why it's getting new reviews and being promoted?

HAHA! When I was reading those books, I did the same! My husband thought I was crazy. You should read

You can't go wrong with the brothers.
Just finished
and a little creeped by this one. Not sure how I will review yet. I mean I love V and I love the fact that he got the girl but wow. I was starting to feel these books were bios so I guess it's good this one brought me back in the fictional realm.

Donna, I read

I have Before Now, I just need to get to it :)

Have you read the third one yet?!

I had that thought too Tracy. But I still loved it. I'm trying to get started on book 6! I've been taking a break for a month or so from the brothers. Time to get back with it.

Sweet! I'll have to bump it up :)

Really great story! I loved it and can't wait for the ladt book to come out :-)

Ditto Belkis' comment here! Just got back in town, sorry to be MIA and hope everyone has had a great weekend. Finished up chick lit
which was a cute read, and
which was anything BUT cute because holy hell it was HOT HOT HOT. *wipes brow* Definitely a fun guilty pleasure read if you need one!
Picking up an ARC of
with some hesitation because I know it's going to tie me in knots...can't wait to discuss this one on here with some of you in the future!!

I have that book, Bridget. I need to get to it soon.

What's the beast one like?"
I really enjoyed

It's the best Erin! I cannot wait for more. Jillian's story will be exciting I'm sure!!

What's the beast one like?"
I didn't like it very much. It was a pretty quality book but that particular interpretation of Beauty and the Beast just wasn't for me. It was medieval-ish styled and mostly centered on dark magic and the "beauty" was a queen and the "beast" was a reptilian warrior as opposed to a prince.

It's really, really good Annie.

Totally agree with you Laura. Sometimes we agree on books we all like and sometimes we're completely opposite in our opinions. For instance I can't stand The House Of Night series by P.C. Cast and others loved it. I read maybe the first 4 or 5 books and I was done. I just agree to disagree with people. That's what makes life interesting, we're all different.
