Mary (gypsy1970) | 5 comments I'm currently on the 4th book of the Goddess Series by MW Muse. So far, the first book was great. The first half of the second book was great. But the second half and books three and four are meh. I will read the last 2 books because I can't start a series and not finish it but I hope that they are better.

I adored the first one. Don't know why it's taken me so long to start the second.

I just finished Poison Princess, and I have to say, that was freaking amazing. Yeah, the Tarot cards was really confusing to me, because I don't know anything about them. But I loved this mix of post-apocalyptic and fantasy. :) I cannot wait for the next book now!

This is the first book I've read of hers, but it's definitely not going to be the last! Gah, and I wish we didn't have to wait until October for Endless Knight!
I can't even begin to guess what's going to happen in book two; I'm sure it will be full of many surprises. :)

I read the Matched trilogy and ended up enjoying it enough to read all 3 books. It's a much subtler dystopian story but I think that's what I ended up appreciating about it. That it was different from most of the more aggressive and bloody ones. Matched was more about the characters and relationships.

Holy hell, I'm a blubbering mess right now. I was planning to just slowly read Love and the Punk Rock Grrl by K.H. Alynn while I read the next Shade of Vampire installment, but it completely sucked me in and wouldn't let go! God, I can't really even describe this book, it's so strange and different but incredible and heartbreaking.

Let me just say, THE COVER DOES NOT DO IT JUSTICE!!

The story is all about breaking through prejudices and preconceived notions, so I actually think there was a point to the cover being so unappealing. Just read it, it's awesome, and I will never, ever forget this story.

Now once I can pull myself together I'll get back to A Shadow of Light (A Shade of Vampire, #4) by Bella Forrest to snap my mind out of this funk.

Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments Finished The Darkest Minds (The Darkest Minds, #1) by Alexandra Bracken and I liked it but thought it dragged quite a bit. This book could have been cut down by at least a third. I'll probably try the next book and see how it goes as I did find the story interesting and the 4-5 main characters are very likeable. Hopefully book 2 won't be as slow as this one.

Annie Brewer (anniebrewer) | 2351 comments Kay, I'm not sure how I felt at the end of Clockwork Princess. I loved everything up until the epilogue. I just feel torn between satisfied and numb. I was hardcore Will fan, as much as I loved Jem, Will was it for me. So that last part had me on my deathbed. But the series is definitely my top favorites with TMI. Phenomenal.
