I have yet to read the bonus scene from Hopeless and not sure I will be able to. I attempted but only got through the first two sentences.

I read Thirteen Reasons Why and I have to say that it has very controversial material but a very good book.

Finishing this up today: The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski . I'm about 80% through and it's just eh for me (I know, don't beat me up).
Still reading this one SLOWLY: Apollyon (Covenant, #4) by Jennifer L. Armentrout . But I have to get a move on b/c I have to lend it out to some people.
Started this yesterday (an ARC I got from Dinsey), so far so good: Shadowlands by Kate Brian

I like this one as well Laura.

message 18157: by Chris (new)

Chris About 100 pages into Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher and it is most certainly a "downer" as I had expected, and anyone else would, by reading any brief overview. I actually like how it was written, still having issues making a "girl's voice" in my head, but I will hopefully get better at that over time. I am having trouble stopping even for my normal breaks (issues with legs and eyes) just can't stop reading it right now. So far I would certainly recommend it though. :D

This is really an emotional book. It does bring you down though but it also makes you realize how cruel the world can be and how selfish people can be.

♥ Rebecca ♥ | 1653 comments Tracy wrote: "I need HUMOR! Someone have a suggestion about the funniest book they have read lately!"

I never read books that are straight out humour. But sometimes I read a YA or romance that ends up being funny. I have been meaning to add a 'humour' shelf to my books, which could have helped me with this, but I havent yet. Off the top of my head, Geek Girl by Cindy C. Bennett Unspoken (The Lynburn Legacy, #1) by Sarah Rees Brennan Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella are some of the funniest books I have come across.

Angel **Book Junkie** I just want to get my kindle down to a reasonable number so I can start buying books again *sigh*

Ya, it slowly starts to get to you, shooting through it pretty fast (for me at least, I'm not a fast reader). Pretty sure I am going to finish it today. I think I want to know how Clay fits into the tapes more than he does.

But it was a freebie so I decided what the heck! I am glad i read it. This book was a fun, quick read. There were a few errors that I noticed, but nothing like the reviews on amazon said.

Nicole D. (thereadingrebel) | 969 comments I finished Bloodrose (Nightshade, #3) by Andrea Cremer and LOVED it.

*Spoilers Below*

I was Team Shay form book one so I was happy who she got with.I always felt she had a stronger connection with Shay.I think Shay showed her a freedom that she was never alouded to feel and couldn't have ever felt with Ren.I was very sad that Ren died but it didn't ruin the book for me.I liked Ren but always thought he was too controlling with Calla. He treated her like he owned her and I didn't like that.It ended well and hope she writes a sequel series with the Searchers hunting down the last of the Keepers while they try to reopen the Rift.I am looking forward to reading the Prequel series.I have them both coming in the mail.

*END of SPOILERS*

Right know I am reading The Private World of Georgette Heyer by Jane Aiken Hodge .One of my favorite authors biographies.

I've only read [book:What I Didn't Say|13366929] out of the two as well and I thought it was pretty good :) My only complaint was that I didn't really connect with the love aspect to the story. Sam and Jake's relationship wasn't developed enough in the beginning IMO
