Ok I'm officially giving up on
:( maybe it's just me but this book just does not wow me. Doesn't captivate me in the least. Ok Daemon is hot. But that's it pretty much. Katy is whiny. All the two of them do is go hot and cold over and over. God! Enough already! Give me a plot. Give me a story. How can the 2 MC having chemistry constitute a story?!? Argh, moving on and shelving it maybe someday I might feel differently about it although I seriously doubt it. The first book was very meh for me as well but decided to not give up and try book 2 since so many readers were raving over it. But alas still the same lackluster story continuing on in book 2. I'm officially done with this series. Not for me I guess. I need a real story. So on a happier note I'm starting

Katy is whi..."Sorry to hear that! About how far did you get though? I see your point about the plot but the real plot of the story comes up in the second half/ towards the end of the story. A lot happens near the end of the book

Katy is whi..."I got frustrated with her at points, too, but there is a LOT of action and suspense toward the last 35-40% of the book. Just go back to it later, you can't give up on Daemon!!!! LOL

Mara Dyer was great, I need to go back and re-read though. I read it back when I didn't do very detailed reviews, so I can't even look at my review to remember what I loved so much about it! LOL

But that's it pretty mu..."I got trough 52% on my kindle which is a bit over half of the book and it was just torturing me :( all I found myself doing was rolling my eyes over and over and finding excuses to drop it and read something else or wanting to just skip to the end to see how the heck it ends (which I still might do LOL!) but I can't bring myself to cheat that way :) so I just shelved it. So much potential! Makes me so sad!

But that..."Its not cheating. I do it all the time. There is nothing wrong with skipping ahead if the book is just not for you. If you wanna know what happens I suggest you skip to chapter 30, or 32. 30 is when the action starts and bad things happen, and lasts through 31. 32 is after the dust has settled and Katy and Daemon finally come to an understanding about their feelings.

Oh it really was!!! I laughed and ooohed and awwwed, it was totally worth the read! I really like Lauren's writing style, it was my second book I read by her that I enjoyed! :)

Although I'm doing what Rebecca suggested and I moved a few chapters over to #30 and have really zipped through the pages now that there's some stuff going on. It's the sick obsessive reader in me that refuses to let it go. So I'm finishing it up. Have about 2 chapters left to go. It does somehow gain another star from me for the last quarter of the book so I'll go back and fix my into rating from 2 stars to 3 because the writing isn't bad and the last part is kind of ok but still not awed by this story so will probably not buy the last book. So ill be jumping into Captive In The Dark in about 30 minutes :)

wow Annie!!! I better get back to it then. How devine and gorgeous is Nick. I fell in love with him straight away. I just got past the part last night when they had a first kiss in the storm cellar, then he ran off.

Funny thing is, the beginning and the end are the only parts that are vividly clear to me still. I really need to go back and read it again, it was a beautiful story and I'm upset with myself for forgetting so much of it!!
