Oh this one is a lot more tender and passionate but still with enough steam to warrant a cold shower or two LOL

Oh, sorry you didn't like it!! It was definitely strange, but I loved it b/c it was a dystopian with a romance!! I'm on sexy scene withdrawal with all of these dystopians, so it filled the void a bit! LOL

I don't find dystopians depressing. Some books just have sad endings, regardless of genre. The book I just read was the first depressing dystopian I've come across.

message 5314: by Ada (new)

Ada Adams (ada_adams) I just finished "The Hunger Games" and am currently compiling my to read list! Looks like there are many amazing YA recommendations here!

message 5319: by Annie (new)

Annie Brewer (anniebrewer) | 2351 comments Yea I know I just keep finding more and more books I want to read in that genre! Its good for research for my book so its ok. I hope to jump back into paranormal soon! Lol

message 5320: by [deleted user] (new)

I finished Girls in Pants The Third Summer of the Sisterhood (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, #3) by Ann Brashares last night, so now I'm reading Forever in Blue The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, #4) by Ann Brashares and Cinder (Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer . More Cinder so far, than Forever in Blue, though. Cinder is amazing so far! I am loving it! I had actually already started it about a week ago, but then put it aside to focus on finishing up library books. Now that I have time to read it, I am thrilled that I bought it!

message 5321: by PepperP0t (last edited Mar 17, 2012 03:06PM) (new)

PepperP0t finished both Illicit Magic (Stella Mayweather #1) by Camilla Chafer & Amber Eyes (Entwined Souls Trilogy, #1) by Jolyn Palliata . Both were diverting reads both in the Mature YA space with no HS drama. Reading Rescue Me (Last Chance Rescue, #1) by Christy Reece Also recently enjoyed Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush, #1) by Becca Fitzpatrick

I agree, ladies, I feel like I'm completely missing out on the great romances right now!! The dystopians aren't bad, but they're just NOT the same!!!! Can't wait to get back to PNR, I have a ton that I'm itching to start!! =)

What about Shatter Me, Under the Never Sky, Divergent. Great romances. Some of my fave books.

message 5327: by Annie (new)

Annie Brewer (anniebrewer) | 2351 comments I haven't read any of those. I'm not in the Dystopian genre very much. I only read The Hunger Games and Matched! I'd prefer contemp/PNR.

message 5328: by ♥ Rebecca ♥ (new)

Glad you're enjoying the research so much, sweetie! =) The book I (someday) want to finish writing is a dystopian, so this month has gotten me some great experience in the genre! LOL Hopefully I won't chuck the whole idea b/c I'm so tired of reading them, though!

I love Picoult! She does extensive research on all her novels and they have really great twists at the end. Another one that is great I read recently is The Pact.
