Hi Sue,I'm over halfway through "Sex, Lies, and On-line Dating" and I'm really enjoying it. I hope to finish it today if things don't get too hectic around here today trying to clean my house and prepare desserts for company dropping by tonight. I'd rather just sit and read!!! Have you finished it yet? What do you think?

Warlord wants Forever is a fav, not as good as some of the others in Kresley Cole's series, but good :)
Daffodil,I finished Murder With Peacocks last night and The Negotiator today. They were both good choices. Thanks!
Hi NairabellI finished a second rec (most unusual for me - I rarely get more than one rec in :) -
: audiobook. This started as a 4 star read with 5 star potential. I loved the djinn and weather concepts. But then my attention started to really wane by half way and I just wanted to get to the point of the story... Consequently it ended up 3 stars. But I did enjoy it - thanks for the rec and the push to read it :)
September Pick-It-for Me Challenge
The Time Traveler's Wife
The Iron Duke
Something About You
Can You Keep a Secret?
Someone to Watch Over Me

I finished it late Thursday night. I really did like the book! I had it figured out mid-way through, but that did not spoil my reading. How about you? Were you able to finish? I know what you mean about wanting to read rather than get ready for company. I've been put out a few times like that - but then always enjoyed having the company over. Okay, 90% of the time I've enjoyed the company!!
Oops I totally forgot to write it up here.I finished with Five Flavors of Dumb by Antony John and loved it! It surely is not mainstream contemporary YA fiction and that's what makes it such a great read.
Thanks a lot, Vi for recommending it to me.
I finished "The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie". The first half of the story was a 5 stars, the second half only a 3 stars, so I've rated the book a solid 4 stars.
I finished Clockwork Angel and really enjoyed it! Now I have to wait until Dec when the next book comes out. Grrrrr I am not a patient person.Next, I'm going to start Shiver. I know there are several books in that series already out, so I'll have my instant gratification:)
I finished City of Bones today. It was decent and I'll probably finish the trilogy. However it was very derivative. Still a good read.
Sana, I'm so glad you liked it.Sana wrote: "Oops I totally forgot to write it up here.

Hi Sue, I just finished our buddy read "Sex, Lies, On-line Dating" and I really liked it. I'm glad we read it together. It's been sitting here on my TBR pile for a while and I'm glad I finally got to it. I love good mysteries and the romance thrown in was like the cherry on top of the sundae! (my favorite part!!)
I saw in the back of the book that there is another coming out or maybe already out featuring one of the characters in this one, so I will have to look for that one.
Thanks for being my "buddy-reader"!
Glad you liked it, Kate! I thought it was wonderful and can't wait to read more of Molly Harper - especially the next book in this series. :)Kate wrote: "KarenH:
I finished How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf. It was a great book! I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading more of this author. Thanks for the great recommendation."
Lauren - I just finished Double Play and thought it was great. That's no big surprise to me, since I tend to really enjoy the sports themed books and I also have liked everything I've read by Jill Shalvis. Thanks again for the great recommendations this month - hopefully I'll get through another one or two before the end of the month!
I have finished A Quick Bite and it was a fun but a very light read, some parts felt like a little forced to be a PNR with all those nano bio-techs and becoming vampires etc... Still a fun and fast read.

I was glad for the suggestion to read this as well! I didn't realize there is another one. I'll have to look it up and add it to my library list.
Megan wrote: "Hi Melissa**,I tried the best to pick out some recommendations for you. I hope you enjoy!
Your TBR
To Tame a Highland Warrior
The Darkest Kiss
. I forgot how much I liked that series!! I have actually read the next two books and plan on finishing the series. Thanks for the great pick!!

It does drag a bit in the middle, but the next one's more level with tension throughout. Anyways, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
I just finished Shiver and I LOVED it!I have a couple to read for another challenge and then I'll try to fit in The Hunger Games before the month is over.
Hi Shellebelle,I realized that I read one of these a while ago but forgot to post - too busy moving on to the next book. :) Anyway, I read Magic Strikes the first week of September and loved it! I liked the series before but I thought this book really grabbed me emotionally in a way the others hadn't. Maybe it was all the backstory in this one. I've gone from liking the series to full on love for it.
And then earlier today I finished First Grave on the Right which was a very fun read and I'll definitely be checking out the second book.
So thanks for the great suggestions!
Hi Diane W.,I just started "The Girl Who Played with Fire" today, and I have "Water for Elephants" and "The Book Thief" on deck for after that one. You had recommended books by Sarah Andrews and Deanna Raybourn and I have three by Andrews and two by Raybourn. I know that I am reading the Andrews ones sort of out of order, so is it okay if I just pick one of the ones I haven't read? Do you know which of the Deanna Rayburn books is first in the series? I have "Silent in the Sanctuary" and "Silent on the Moor" and I don't know if either of them comes before the title that you recommended.
I am going to finish all of your recommendations - I just don't know if I will get them all done by the end of the month, but I am going to try since they all sound so good.
Thanks again for such good choices!!
Coffeeandtea : I just finished
and i wanted to thank you much! :) It was just the kind of book i wanted to read this days: light, funny and oh so sexy!. With two stories packed in a book, it entices us continue reading the series.. we need to know what happens with the rest of the pack ofc! ;) thanks a bunch again!

Hmm... hoping I didn't make such horrible choices for my pick that they haven't read them - first time doing this so might have to do a lot better with my picks in October :)
I doubt that, some of us just read sooner/faster than others of us. I still haven't read my selection yet either. You did your part getting out recommendations, you read at least one of the recommendations that were given to you - you have completed this challenge and can either read more of your recs or get excited for the October Pick It (which is up if anyone didn't know and would like to sign up for it)
hehe, well Dee, Debbie will check for you :)yep, I gottch with that book as well as Fatal Shadows - is that right?
Debbie just to let you know, my pickee, Patrid finished her read as well, First Grave on the Right. (It's post #685)
Wow, I remember reading that one, don't know how I missed adding it to the list. Thanks for the info Penney, it will be fixed :)
Julie, I'm starting
tonight! And if you still want to do a buddy read I'm up for it. Though at this point not sure if we will have time for
maybe we could do the other one. If you don't have time this month I would be happy to read Jane Eyre with you anytime!

I felt the same way about Magic Strikes! That was the book that made me really fall in love with the series☺ I'm glad you liked First Grave on the Right! She also has a free short story online that was really good! You should chekc it out☺
For I Have Sinned #1.5. And the second book was just as good as the first if not better!
Michelle,Just finished Dangerous Secrets, the second from your list of recommendations and I liked it much more that the Lora Leigh book. Lotsa law enforcement reads. I thought there was a lot of evil bad guy build-up for such a brief epiphany, but Nick was pretty dreamy and Charity was not TSTL. I thought it was interesting that this is book #2 in the series, but book #1 and book #2 have almost nothing in common. I'd read the next in the series.
Thanks for the recs!
Lexa wrote: "I finished Lover Eternal! I'm so happy I read it. The ending had me intears I was so frustrated, but then the end of the end was wonderful!! Glad this one worked out better for you. On to next months challenge. I agree - they call this a series but I didn't see the tie. The third one is just the same - no real tie. BTW - I took you up on your Megan Hart rec and just bought for my nook. I'm going to try to read very soon.
Hi Melanie,I finished one of your picks for me, Mr. Impossible. I loved Daphne and Rupert, their banter was great. Thanks for the push to get if off my tbr.
I have to say that updating the books read is the most difficult part of hosting this challenge. I always manage to miss half the books read!So you're doing a great job, Debbie. :p
Lacy, I finished reading Blue-Eyed Devil last night and I really enjoyed it! Hardy did redeem himself in my eyes. I had been meaning to read this book forever, thank you so much for the push! Now, I just need to figure out when I can read the next one...

Thanks so much, I am having fun seeing what everyone reads. It is especially daunting with such a big group this month.
