I love the Touched by an Alien series but don't know many who have read it! It's so quirky and fun!

Sue (knitwitsl) | 226 comments I finished The Help over the weekend. I've had it sitting on my shelf for quite a while, so I'm glad Nancy suggested that I read it! I liked the book, and it did make me stop and think about things. I may go see the movie next, I'm just not sure about that though!

Also, Nancy, I will be picking up Sex, Lies, and Online Dating from the library tomorrow. Just let me know when you are ready to read it as well!

Oh I didn't know you were reading it, I am reading it as well-halfway through it- I meant the Bloodlines, I am liking it and it is not much different than the VA series for me at the moment so I don't feel like reading something different.

I finished Brigg's River Marked a couple of days ago. Thank you so much for the push. It was fun to see Mercy and Adam finally married. :)

message 765: by Elise (new)

Elise (hey_elise) | 42 comments Tiffanny picked Delirium by Lauren Oliver for me.. and I LOVED it. I was slightly emotionally drained by the ending and depressed by the fact that I have to wait 7 months for the second one. ;) But otherwise it was GREAT. I actually finished it last week, but forgot to comment until now.

message 766: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 4477 comments Oh Elise! I just got Delirium from the library! I'll definitely bump it up. :)

message 767: by Julie (new)

Julie | 56 comments Daffodil,
Just finished The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie. I wasn't sure for most of the book how it would all turn out. I love it when an author keeps you guessing. Sometimes books tend to be too predictable. This one was different than any other I've read because the author addressed a condition that most aren't familiar with. I really liked the book yet it was strange because the heroine was the hero for most of the book. It's unusual for the romantic hero to be the female.

Now I'm off to start Murder With Peacocks. I'm so glad you gave me such a variety of picks to choose from.

Katie | 2083 comments Fran -- I just finished Do Over and really enjoyed it! Great pick :)

I also finished Wishing for a Home which I buddy read with Fran. I liked it a lot! TA Chase is always good for a light angst, sweet, fun, easy read. Another great pick :)

Kami (aidansmama) | 988 comments I finished The Candidates by Inara Scott, my buddy read with Bookwormgirl. I am going to read Intrinsical next and then Dragonfly in Amber. I gave the Candidates three stars.

message 773: by Cacophony (new)

Cacophony | 102 comments hi Brenda!
I am just letting you know that I finished Some Girls Bite. I found it more light hearted than I was expecting. I just finished the latest Kate Daniels book so I was expecting Some Girls Bite to be similar, though there isn't a logical reason for expecting that. In any case, thanks for the great rec!

message 774: by Tuğçe (new)

Tuğçe Gökırmak (tugcenidasevin) Hi Emily,

I have finished Bloodlines and even though I found it a little predictable and very similar to VA series in the way of storytelling and style, I enjoyed it. I always was a Team Adrian person so I am happy with this new book :) I gave it 4*. I wasn't sure whether I liked Sydney or not in VA series and the funny thing is I am still not sure about that. I am reading A Quick Bite next.

message 775: by Lacy (new)

Lacy (lacy_stewart) | 1966 comments I finished my last pick! I read Intertwined by Gena Showalter. I gave it 3.5 stars. I'll be reading the second book in the series soon.

So, I'm done. Thanks again AshleyAlexis for your recs!

Caroline (pip_squeak) Larissa!
I finished Breaking Dawn, I must admit that I was rather dubious about reading this book. It took me a while to get into, but into I got! For me some bits were rather far fetched but all in all it was a good story although I was rather dissapointed how it ended, but I suppose it could leave it open for another story to follow at a later date! Thanks for kicking my butt into gear to get me to finally read it though;-)
Looking forward to starting Dark Lover within the next week x x

I actually picked it up last night because I found it at Borders for $1. Sad to see a book store closing but I will not thumb my nose at 80 cent romance paperbacks. It is so much more light than I thought it was going to be. It is pretty decent however at least what I've read so far.

Coffeentea | 128 comments Hey There Delilah!!,
Thanks for the great recommendations! I read a second book from your list of recommendations. I finished Blood Bound last night. It was so good. There was action, suspense, politics and lots of emotion. The switching point of view didn't bother me, but sometimes I forgot whose point of view I am seeing from. I felt like I got off a fun roller coaster ride and can't wait to get on another one. I am definitely looking forward to the next book.

Good for you. I didn't get through more than the first two chapters because I got really busy and had more to do yesterday than I thought. It seems good so far and I hope to get more read tonight.
