Erm.

Well, I managed to get another 1000 words written in the new Lorne book. If I knuckle down I could have it finished by the end of September. It's booked in with the editor for January but I can bring that forward.
I was having problems with it, trying to tone the violence down a little to appeal to a wider audience but it just wasn't grabbing me and if it doesn't grab the writer it ain't gonna grab the readers. So, I'm upping the violence and it's getting nasty. :-)
In between I'm trying to hunt for new wardrobes but just can't find anything I like. :-(
Why is it that when you have a little money (courtesy of a tax rebate or two) you can never find anything suitable?

When you get your wardrobe check very carefully that there are no lions or witches in it.

Well, I didn't use to. Then Mel corrupted me. ;)
Naughty Mel.
Funny. I've been surfing amazon for wardrobes. Would have to be one of those naff canvas ones as I'd have to ship it by air. Local stuff is stupid expensive.
Now I thinking of just banging really long nails into the walls...

I used to love shopping for furniture but just haven't got the patience at the moment. It's a shame really as the sales are on. I like to see things in person though to check the quality, you can't do that online, can you?
Hope you find a canvas robe soon Patti. :-)

Oh well, I hear chocolate and ice cream calling.
Have a fab weekend guys. :-)

Another problem for us to deal with no is the hot water tank has stopped working. So we have no hot water and I was hoping to start painting my bedroom today! :-(

We rang half a dozen electrician/plumbers yesterday and not one of them got back to us. So we're still without hot water!!! :-(

Today I have Top thriller writer Doug Dorow on my blog... http://ow.ly/dfzNY

When the lecci arrived he asked why we had taken the cover off the tank underneath, we hadn't and didn't even know there should be a cover on it. There were live wires exposed, some of them had burned out. One of the wires is rigid but it should be a flexible one.
He's coming back next week to attach the proper wires for us. It's all pretty scary stuff. We've asked him to do a thorough check of the electrics.
He was here two and a half hours and charged us 35 euros plus he had to travel an hour and a half to get here. :-)

But this wonderful interview made up for it today.

;o)"
I think that's the fish from Darren's thread!

Just a reminder that Cruel Justice is on offer at the moment for only 77pence.

He also totally spoiled me earlier thinking I'd already read the second. Thanks Daddy.

I hope he enjoys Impeding Justice as much as Cruel Justice.
Don't ask me which one I think is best, I couldn't tell you. :-)

It has a slight leak because the previous owners didn't put a pressure release valve in. Our old tank has leaked a little since we got here!
So the plumber is coming back tomorrow to put one in for us and he's going to tinker with the ride on mower too, which ground to a halt again halfway around the orchard. Mum and I had to push the darn thing back to the shed!!!!
Which means I'm now getting up at between 2 and 3am so I can fit some writing in. :-) Flagging when it gets to this time of day.

I'm glad things are finally coming together for you though. Just don't overdo too much!

Today I have Dakota Franklin on my blog.

This review is from: Cruel Justice (Justice series (Book one)) (Kindle Edition)
I am so excited to have such a great new detective series to follow. DI Lorne Simpkins is a wonderful character to read. She is fiesty and tears into her work with gusto, not wanting to stop until she gets the bad "arse." Her partner, Pete, is the perfect counterpart to her and they make a wonderful combo. Lorne has some flaws, which only gives her characters more depth and realism. As a workaholic in a stressful job, she is trying to balance family life but still keep street crime under control. There is such a wonderful balance between these two separate storylines and it only adds to the character development. You end up feeling like you have known these people for years. That is such a hard thing to accomplish for a writer, and this just makes a reader not able to put down this book until the very last scene. Just when you think you know where this book is heading, it takes an about turn, something I think Comley must enjoy doing to her readers. She obviously likes to keep us on the edge of our seats! I am so excited there are 3 more Justice books available because Lorne Simpkins is someone I want to read a lot more about.
