Very happy today.

Aww, sorry to hear that, Lorraine, hope your day gets better soon. xxx

We tore down the old staircase yesterday, it split in two directions, one top section is remaining because it will be concealed by plasterboard and a new floor we're putting in. Anyway, my dog Henry always comes up to bed with me every night, last night I said, "Coming to bed, boy?" He went over to where the old stairs were and just stood there looking at the stairs he could still see and then back at me. He looked really confused, bless him.
Eventually I had to grab his collar and take him out of the room to show him the new stairs.
Upstairs, we plasterboarded the old entrance to the stairs outside my bedroom and this morning he was sat beside it waiting to come down again, looking confused beyond words! lol

Justice 5 is awaiting the slot with the editor - two readers have already got their grubby mits on it and said it's fab and Justice 6 is over 8k written thanks to Nano. I'm hoping to get at least two thirds of it written by the end of the month, work permitting! :-)

How's Sammy today?
Can't wait to get my grubby mitts on the new Lorne books, of course.
I'm so pleased the writing is going so well! Yay!

I miss our chats too, Patti. But I was spending 6-8 hours chatting in the group and my productivity levels plummeted. Let me break the back of this book through November then I hope to take some time off in December, promise.
I have fans to keep happy you know! lol
Sammy's much better thank you. I was very upset on Monday because I thought we weren't going to be able to bring him home! :-(
How's things at the school are you still teaching occasionally?

The teaching is a bit more than occasionally.
Looking through my calendar I've had nine days off (not counting holidays and weekends) since the end of August.
Not complaining. I'm LOVING it.
Yes, I saw about Sammy earlier this week. My heart jumped into my throat. Any idea what caused the infection? Is he more comfortable now?
How's the ....erm.... 'Renovations' going? ;)

Renovations going well but slowly as Nic works at a chateau three days a week. It's getting a little wearing though being in a mess all the time!
Mum and I have felt really tired today for some reason.
Time to have a nice soak in a hot bath I think. :-)
Have a good evening, talk soon. xx

Yep, I'm even getting paid!
I may be mad, but I'm not stupid. ;)
Yes, I know what you mean about living in a mess all the time, Mel.
I've still not hired a cleaner. The school has decided that our flat is not suitable so they're going to move us, so I'll probably wait to hire until we're finally properly settled.
I sure as shit won't be wasting time cleaning this place in the meantime.
Have a lovely relaxing evening. Hopefully we can catch up this weekend.
Xxx

I've just uploaded the boxed set of the Justice Series in time for Christmas if anyone is interested. :-)

You can do a new release thread for the box set if you like.
I hope you're feeling better, Mel.
I'm sorry you were so poorly. :(

I've just had a call from Nic, he left here about an hour ago and had an accident on his way home.
He skidded on an oil patch in the road and the car ended upside down and is a write off. Thankfully he's not hurt, only shaken! :-(

Mel!
Thank goodness he's okay!!
Grief.
:(
If that were Dave, I'd need to see him RIGHT NOW.
is he coming back to yours now?

It's entangled in an electric fence too! :-(

Im sure you won't let him out of you're sight now!

Mum sends him home with a food parcel when he leaves here, the first thing he saved was his bag of food and the old laptop I lent him. When he rang to tell me he'd been in an accident he said, "Tell your Mum I got the food out okay!" lol
