I finally finished Glass by Sam Savage and have started Who Do, Voodoo? by Rochelle Staab. The first really bothered me. I like structure, you know paragraphs, chapters, plot, meaning, etc. Nothing like what I like to read. The second, while a bit fluffy, actually seems to be a story and so far has been enjoyable.

haha, I can imagine!
Ok, here it is!
A Game of Thrones

I finished Ruth by Marlene Lewis and started Little Vampire Women by Lynn Messina. Ruth was good, not spectacular, but good. So far Little Vampire Women has been a disappointment. Haven't gotten very far in yet, so hopefully that will turn around.

I was soo mad at the end of this book, loved it, but UGH I AGREE!!

1Q84 is my serious, thought-provoking reading; the others are my I-don't-want-to-grade-papers light reading.

Ohh, The Book Thief is soo good. I was surprised by how much I liked it and by how much it affected me. I hope you enjoy it too.

I've been very excited to finish the series. I can't wait to see what she does next. If you dig these books, you might like Jacqueline Carey's Kusheline Legacy series.

I tried the first one in that series, but somehow I couldn't get through it for some reason... Maybe I'll give it another try sometime :)

Murakami is one of my favorite authors. I haven't read 1Q84 yet, but I highly recommend The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. That was my first book by him and it's one of my top five favorites of all-time.

I finished Other Waters and have just started Rust. Have so many books I have just bought but want to finish up my giveaways wins first.

What did you think of Born to Run? I have been wanting to read that since the summer but just have not gotten a chance.

Wow, Kelly, that's impressive. Maybe I should follow your example. While everyone is out on their holiday vacations, maybe I should take a week off of work and just read :)
Kelly A, that is awesome. Did you like The Gargoyle?
Over the extended weekend, I finished Heart-Shaped Box, started and finished Another Piece of My Heart and started Carry the One.

I've got too many choices of what to read next:
Crossed
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
The Missing Girl and
The Psychology of Twilight

I really liked it! It's set in the present, but has little side stories about people in different periods of time/cultures. It was interesting!
Nicki, I recommend The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.
Kelly A, I loved it! It was a bit bleh at the very beginning, but got soooooooo much better when Marianne came into the story.

I also need to plan on a readathon sometime in the next week. I've really been slacking since I've been on break. I have at least five books I want to finish before I have to go back to school next weekend.

I've just started reading Emma after finishing a bunch of Christmas themed books. I'm excited, one of the few Jane Austen novels I haven't read yet.
