What Did You Finish Reading/What Are You Currently Reading?
I finished The Kitchen House. Good book, disturbing, but good.
Started Feast Day Of Fools by James Lee Burke. My latest win I have received. Not too far into it yet.

What Would Jane Austen Do?and Friendship Bread
I have never read them. My mom recently bought the first 4 books, so I will probably start them sometime relatively soon.
Just finished The Secret Memoirs of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis: A Novel and Girl, Interrupted during my mini vaca! Would love to read at least two more before I have to get back to school and don't have a lot of time for leisure reading!
I just finished reading I, Alex Cross by James Patterson, it's an excellent read I thoroughly recommend it!!!
Just finished A Dirty Job by Christopher Moore and it was sooo funny. I got weird looks when I was sitting outside starbucks reading it because I was laughing so much.
I just finished up I Love You, Ronnie: The Letters of Ronald Reagan to Nancy Reagan and The Lovely Bones. I'm slowly making my way through Revolutionary Road.
I finished The Maze of Bones and am figuring out what to read next. If I've read City of Bones and City of Ashes, but not City of Glass, would it be okay to read Clockwork Angel?
I read Clockwork Angel before I read any of the City books. It is totally different setting and characters. You should be fine.
I started reading The Help last week. Less than a hundred pages into it but so far so good! I wasn't expecting the story to be told by different narrators. I'm also in the middle of Runner's World Complete Book of Women's Running.
I'm going to finish One Land, One King by Y.S. Hassan then probably read Clockwork Angel or One False Note.
I'm reading 'The Eye of the Crystal Ball'. It was sent to me by the author to review for the blog. I'm struggling with it... Anyone else here read it?
I just got done with Briar Rose. It was absolutely amazing. More history (historical fiction but not so much fiction) than fairy tale but loved the premise.I'm about to start The Help. I saw the movie today and it was fairly amazing so now I read the book.:)
I have just finished recently the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis and Released by Megan Duncan. Both were good books with interesting premises.
I am sure this will shock a lot of people, but I have never read the Chronicles of Narnia or any of the Lord of the Ring or His Dark Materials books. I guess it is because during the normal time people seem to have read them, I was stuck in a holocaust addiction (ages 10ish to about 15ish) They are all on my to read list, so hopefully soon.
Daniel, was it your first time reading Chronicles?

I just finished Linger and The Dark Divine - both are YA books about sexy werewolves in Minnesota with protagonists named Grace! Weird.

Also I haven't read any of the Lord of the Rings book either, but I have read the first book of His Dark Materials series.
I just finished Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen and loved it. No one could ever surpass Alice Hoffman as my favorite writer of magical-realism, but Allen is a close second.I started Die for Me by Amy Plum late last night. I got so into it that I was still reading it into the early morning. I only have about 50 pages left now. I rarely ever finish a book within 24 hours, but this one is a real page-turner.
After I finish Die for Me, I'll be starting The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers. This will be a reread and it's one of my favorites. I even wrote my personal essay for my college applications on Mick Kelly. I have to read this book for one of my classes this semester, so I thought I'd get a head start. I can't believe school starts again in less than a week!
@Kayla: I LOVED Die for Me, I think the wait for the sequel will slowly kill me :)@Tami: that is a bit shocking actually ;) The first time I read LOTR, I was around 12-14, but the other I read in the last 3 years I think. I especially adored the His Dark Materials books and LOTR is just such a fantasy classic!
Maybe we can convince you to bump those up on your to-read list? :)
Right now I am swamped with books I have won, and those always come first for me. I feel if they are willing to give them I had better read and review as quickly as I can. Maybe by Christmas I can get to them. We'll see.
I just finished The Alchemist and am now working on finished up Song of Myself and The Prophet of Yonwood.
ive been reading One Day and I have been having a hard time getting into it. Everyone I know who has read it seems to like it but finds the end frustrating, should I even bother or move on?
I finished The Black Stiletto and The Killer Is Dying: A Novel over the weekend and started Becoming Marie Antoinette.
I finished The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini and now am reading A Thousand Splendid Suns by the same author.I also have started to Read Ireland by Frank Delaney and Abundance: A Novel Of Marie Antoinette by Sena Jeter Naslund., as well as The Shack by WM. Paul Young.
I just finished Song of Myself and am now working on The Prophet of Yonwood (still) and The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button.
Daniel wrote: "The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button was a good movie. Tell if the book is also any good."
I just finished it! It's only a short story and although I haven't seen the movie I have been told that the story is much better than the movie. I would assume that it's true since the story was amazingly well written and it was humourous as well.
That being said, I jus finished The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (Collector's Editionand am now working on The Prophet of Yonwood.

I am still reading The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter with 100 pages left to go, but I decided to set it aside for a couple of days so that I could start Across the Universe and finish it before August ends for a challenge. I'm really enjoying it so far. The main story line began later than I expected, but I can't really say that it started slow because I thought the build-up in the beginning was pretty interesting.

Sara wrote: "Kayla wrote: "I am still reading The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter with 100 pages left to go, but I decided to set it aside for a couple of days so that I could start Across the Unive..."</i>You should read it! It's one of my favorite classics.
I think [book:Across the Universe may become a new favorite. I'm loving it!
I have finished across the universe by Beth Revis, demon king by Cinda Williams Chima and I have started Rangers Apprentice 10 after a brief break.
I enjoyed it quite a lot. Chima did very well in creating a brilliant fantasy world, and developing the characters throughout the story.
I am almost done with The True Story of Hansel and GretelWhen I get done I'm starting The Fox Inheritance
I just finished Daughter of the Forest and Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes. But I'm one of those people so I am currently reading The Shack, The God of Small Things, Endless Love and Starter for Ten... Not into any of them so far

I'm currently reading The Lantern, which is sort of kicking my ass and taking forever to read. And I Am Number Four, so far better than the movie! (though I really liked the movie as well)
I just finished Moll Flanders for a class, which I surprisingly enjoyed for the most part. I am now reading Pan by Knut Hamsun for the same class and Big Sur by Jack Kerouac for my Beat Generation class. I am still reading Middlesex for my fun read and loving it, but it is taking me longer to read than I expected. Too much school work and Senior obligations! Hopefully, I'll be able to finish it by Friday at the latest.
Just finished by last of the giveaways that I have won and received. Not sure what I will start next. Probably one of the new books purchased: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children or Frankenstein: The Dead Town. I just can't go to the store to buy presents without buying myself some too!

I felt the exact same way when I read The Kitchen House. I think it's worth reading. It's a very hard book to judge, though, for some reason!
