I've recently finished Volumes I and II of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and am working on A Bad Spell for the Worst Witch.

I just finished Flowers In The Rain & Other Stories by Rosamunde Pilcher. It was a great collection of short stories, and perfect to finish up on this rainy day. I'm going to start three books, which could potentially change depending on how much I like each of them:
Legend of the Blue Owl by Wayne Parrish
The Black Flower A Novel of the Civil War by Howard Bahr
Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin
The Solitaire Mystery. Going at it slowly. Finding it charming and magical. If you take it seriously, there is plenty to think about. Depending on disposition, though, some may find it a waste of time.
I just finished Bitter is the New Black Confessions of a Condescending, Egomaniacal, Self-Centered Smartass, Or, Why You Should Never Carry A Prada Bag to the Unemployment Office by Jen Lancaster. It was pretty funny and kept me interested. I am not a fan of non-fiction but I did enjoy this one!! Now I am onto Water for Elephants for our next book read! I'm about 30 pages in and I like it so far! Haha.
I am currently reading The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold and re-reading Harry Potter and the Half Blood PrinceI just finished reading The Probable Future By: Alice Hoffman and The Reader By: Bernhard Schlink Both of these were okay. I have read better books by Alice Hoffman than this title.
Just started Revolutionary Road. If Kurt Vonnegut (one of my favorite authors) says it is the Great Gatsby (one of my favorite books) of his time, I'm guessing that I will love it!
I finished Big Fish this morning. I will hopefully finish Sense and Sensibility or start The Picture of Dorian Gray this afternoon.
OH! Jamie, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is one of my favorite books! It's amazing! I really hope you love it as much as I do...
Anastasia..I'm LOVING it so far! It's really interesting! I love the characters already and I'm only on page 100.
I also loved The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, reading it made me wish I was better at correspondence.
I now have 4 books started. Getting a bit overwhelmed I can't start another book till I finish two of these. The Help
The Lovely Bones
Water for Elephants
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
I recently finished A Bad Spell for the Worst Witch and have started The Worst Witch at Sea (don't judge me! I have essays and need light reading!). I've been working on Virgil's Aeneid otherwise and plan on strating Tolkien's Gown (for the summer challenge!) Tuesday if not earlier.
I started and finished Seedfolks by Paul Fleischman, which you should all read if you get the chance. It's about 70 pages long and took me an hour to read, and it was great. After that I started A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly, about which I've heard great things.

I've been told I must read this. It's been sitting on my shelf. I'll get around to it hopefully soon! Let me know what you think!

It's not my favorite Picoult either, but I'd say it's probably her most well known and requently read. Jamie, I have a copy of My Sister's Keeper at home, and would be willing to lend it to you!
I really don't like Jodi Picoult at all. I really don't know why...BUT...My Sister's Keeper is probably in my top 5 favorite books of all time! I LOVED it. Keeps you hanging until the very last page. I saw the preview for the movie and I am not sure how I feel about it. I will see it but, the book is just so good!
I picked up Change of Heart because I heard that Jodi Picoult was awesome, but I'm really not feeling it. It seems to me to be a blatant ripoff of The Green Mile. I might try My Sister's Keeper though...

This said, although I want to read most of Picoult's books, I seriously doubt I will ever give any of them a five star rating. They're kind of a light read for me. I think the plots are good and that she writes about interesting subject matter, but when I read her prose I always feel like it's cliched, something I've read before. I also just don't think her prose is the best written.
I know I sound really picky, but I love it when an author picks words to descibe something that you feel like you would have never thought of but are so perfect and I also really enjoy writing and developing descriptive pieces. I suppose I'm a bit pretentious in that respec.
Liz- I totally agree about Jodi Picoult. For some reason My Sister's Keeper just really stood out for me. However, I feel like the rest of her books are all the same. And really, for that matter, My Sister's Keeper is as well, I just liked it. Haha. You don't sound picky at all. I feel like a lot of her books are something I have read before. Good point!
I'm still on A Farewell to Arms. Classes, homework, work, and a recent bout of migraines have kept me from reading a lot. I hope I finish soon, but my 10 year old cousin is coming to stay for a month and I imagine that will impede me.
I just finished The Secret Garden. I don't think that I had ever read the original version, and so it was nice to finally read it. Now, I'm starting on White Nights by Ann Cleeves. It sounds like a kinda of mystery, so we'll see!

I was enjoying it but other books were calling to me. What do you think of it so far Lori?
I'm currently rereading Elizabeth Kostova's The Historian but I've also started reading David Hewson's The Garden of Evil (in attempts of tackling my once-again-expanding TBR list xD).

I loved The Secret Garden.
I'm rereading a favorite book, and I'm also reading Body of Knowledge. Which I need to quickly finish, the author sent me the book over a week ago and I haven't had time to read it yet.
Melissa, I absolutely love it. I read it a couple of summers ago and have been wanting to re-read it for a while. Hemingway has a lot of beautiful, lyrical descriptions and it's a good love story. It's different from what I've read of his other stuff.
Tami- what did you think of Something Borrowed? I liked it, but I do like Something Blue better. And I really didn't like Baby Proof. I just got her new one Love the One You're With. Hopefully it will be good!
Sara, I started reading that a while ago and kind of stopped because of school and whatnot. Let me know how it is.
Janet, First, I really am not into romance stories. They are okay, but not something I would pick to read. That said, the story was a bit different, had some twists I really didn't see coming, and it was an easy fairly entertaining read, so it was average I guess. I would like to reach through the pages and slap a few people every now and then. :)
I just finished Persuasion, and I have to say, I believe it is my favorite of Jane Austen's. Funny, it is the last one I had of hers to still read. Not sure what I am going to start next. Should try to get homework out of the way first, but you all see how well I am doing with that too! Bad Goodreads!

I just finished reading Water for Elephants and now I'm on to reading The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver!
I just finished A Farewell to Arms. I don't know what I'm going to read next. I'm gathering a few books and having my mom pick one for me. Since she doesn't really read ever, it should be interesting to see what she picks and why.
I went to the library today and got 3 books for my challenge.
Casino Royale
One Thousand and One Nights
Cannery Row
Really need to go to the store and get Sun Also Rises and The Hunger Games since they are June reads and rented out at the library.
