How did I miss all you new members?! Falling down on the job. Welcome Anni, Sarah, Ingrid, Jacki, and Tammi. We are happy to have more SK fans join us!
Hi I'm Debbie! I've read Stephen King off and on since I was a kid. Most recently I read The Long Walk but The Stand and Misery are my favorites. I've read Stephen King's book recommendations before and always enjoyed them so I thought this would be a great group. I just picked up The Poison Artist from the library and can't wait to read it!
Debbie, welcome to our group. I'm looking forward to reading what you think of The Poison Artist.
I'm Ashley from PA, USA. SK has long been a favorite of mine. Just looking to talk to and get to know other Constant Readers.First SK I ever read: Firestarter in middle school.
Most recent: Bag of Bones (Should've picked it up sooner -- now it's one of my favorites!)
Hello...I'm Bill from West Virginia, USA. Excited to get to see Mr. King in my home state for his End of Watch Tour on June 10! I have been reading King for the past decade but still have so many books of his, and his recommendations yet to touch. I have found I am about 50/50 on agreeing with those he recommends. Anyway....thanks for the group here. Looking forward to reading through some of the posts.

Hi everyone! I have been a Stephen King fan since I was in middle school. He actually helped me learn to love reading! Most recently, I have been reading his Dark Tower/Gunslinger series and his newest series, The Bill Hodges trilogy. I love seeing the similarities and differences of his writing in his earlier days to now. He has always had such a gift for capturing multiple characters thoughts and feelings through the third-person omniscient point-of-view. I look forward to learning more about King and being recommended other books and authors.
Hi, I'm Kayla Krantz. I'm here because I've been a fan of Stephen King for as long as I can read. Personally, my favorite work is "The Dark Half." Also, "On Writing" has been very helpful to me.

Hello! My name is Chelsea and I am from Oregon. I am here because I am a fan of Stephen King's writing, but I also enjoy finding new authors to read. I had a Good Reads account a long time ago but just recently created a new account. I hope to join in on a group read next month!

Hi All,I live in Connecticut, my name is Joyce and I have been reading Stephen King since High School days. I belong to an adoring SK book club with true fans. My favorite list is long but has to include The Shining and The Green Mile. Currently reading Lisey's Story. Love this group!
Welcome to all you new members and Stephen King fans! Thanks for joining us! Hope you see you in our group read discussions.
Hello everyone. Excited to find a group that already does what I do on my own, which is Google "books Stephen King reads". I have many favorites and am anxious to discover new titles.
I felt exactly the same, Callie. I used to use his list from EW that he did at the end of the year, always found excellent reads on it.
I miss those EW reviews! Now occasionally we catch a recommendation from him on twitter. I know I got all the EW recommendations on my shelf.
Welcome to the group Callie! Another true fan.

Any chance you could list some of the titles "on your shelf" from old EW lists? I wonder what I missed!
Entertainment Weekly, SK did great reviews for them, and a stellar list of his faves of the his reading year. Always had great books on it.
I'm typing from my phone and can't add the link to my bookshelf we use for this group. I named it sai-king-recommends and you can go to my profile to see close to 1000 books I've added to that; all SK recommendations.
You can find a direct link in the group description, too.

Hi folks! I joined the group a few days back and thought I'd better sign in and make myself known in a post. I know a few members already from another Goodreads group, so it feels like I've found a home from home.My real-life home is in the Shetland Islands (Scotland, UK). I moved here some years ago and enjoy its remote wildness. I'm originally from Lancashire (UK) and have also lived in Austria for a number of years. All in all, I have a pretty mixed sense of identity.
I love Stephen King's writing (of course). The Dark Tower Series are my favourite books of all time... I love the fantastic, all-immersive writing that gets under my skin at every re-read!
If The King can point me in the direction of other fantastic books and introduce me to authors who know their craft, who am I to resist?
I'm really looking forward to joining in with you guys and perusing Debra's 'Sai-King' list for inspiration.
I've been a King fan since Carrie - so I always look for his blurbs on books and today I was looking for recommendations and came across this group -seems like it was made for me.
Hello everyone. Im volkan from Turkey. I read The Dark Tower 2 times because i really liked these books. Anyone can recommend some books of SK novels like the dark tower?
Hey Volkan! If you are on Facebook join Stephen King constant reader fan club. There are lots of discussions on all SK's work and its a really cool community!
Wow, Annerlee, it's nice to see you over here in my group! For some reason, I didn't realize you lived in Scotland. I visited once, and it is such a beautiful country. Glad you joined us, and sorry for my tardiness in welcoming you.
Same to Pat, and Volkan from Turkey (I love the Dark Tower series the best, too, everyone)! Welcome!
Libby, that's a great tip a bout the Facebook club! I'll have to check it out.... like I have type for more stuff.... lol

Welcome, Annerlee, I'm sorry for being a bit tardy on greeting you, but I've been under the weather since February. I have a recurring virus, feels like it lurks & just when I think we are done, it hits me again. Feels like a super-annoying bug, not lethal, but enough to suck the joy out of life. This is a great club, I used to track down SK's reading lists & recommendations on my own, it is so nice to do it with a community.
I love Scotland so much. My dad's side of the family is from there and Northern Ireland, my mom's family is from Southern Ireland and Wales. We lived in the UK for some years, and traveled through much of the family territory with our kids. Scotland felt like I had come home, it felt "just right". I am also a dedicated knitter.
Hope you enjoy the group!
Kim, so sorry to hear about your darn virus! That is awful, and I can emphasize, since I've been going through some pretty heavy medical problems myself... since October 2016! Hang in there! I'm sending healing thoughts your way. Hugs!
I'm a King fan from the beginning! I've read them all! I'm here to just see what other people are saying and doing...
