Congratulations! It is a good sign. Anything out of season is a good sign. Probably someone who read your other work and just had to have a complete set.

Perhaps it was to celebrate the inauguration. After all, that must be like Christmas come early for some folk ;-)

I think they must have been driven crackers before it, otherwise it wouldn't have happened!

Agree.

The hope that it drives them to fiction and not drink is what keeps me going!

Philip Whiteland | 3394 comments Looks like I'm about to complete my first month ever, in over ten years, with absolutely no sales whatsoever. No idea why. Guess I'm just deeply unfashionable at the moment :-(

Sharing your pain - not the time length, though, but it is not at all encouraging.

Philip Whiteland | 3394 comments Gingerlily - Mistress Lantern wrote: "Just reading that sent me into a coma - those poor workers!"

True. But it all made work for the working man to do :-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments And the working woman.

Thanks GL. I'm not a big fan of free book promotions but I've got to do something to break the drought! :-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments You are looking for a thunderstorm?

Philip Whiteland | 3394 comments Gingerlily - Mistress Lantern wrote: "You are looking for a thunderstorm?"

I don't need to look for one, I seem to be constantly living in the middle of one ;-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Is the weather in Burton particularly bad? Do you have a rain god living in your street?

message 2777: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3394 comments Gingerlily - Mistress Lantern wrote: "Is the weather in Burton particularly bad? Do you have a rain god living in your street?"

Firstly, a rain god wouldn't last five minutes in Burton. Bilious might have a chance (he may well have come from there). Secondly, you are labouring under the misapprehension that I'm still living in Burton - I got out of there a long time ago, although you can take the man out of Burton...

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Ah, I did wonder about that...

Philip Whiteland | 3394 comments Gingerlily - Mistress Lantern wrote: "Ah, I did wonder about that..."

I had to obtain a visa and get my passport stamped, of course. It wasn't easy, and would be damn near impossible in the Age of Trump!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Does the Orange Empire stretch as far as Burton?

message 2781: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3394 comments Gingerlily - Mistress Lantern wrote: "Does the Orange Empire stretch as far as Burton?"

They annexed it, because historically Burton has always been a part of the U.S.A.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments That seems to be a bit missing from the history books. I googled The Burton Annexation and there was a suspicious silence on the subject.

message 2783: by T4bsF (Call me Flo) (new)

T4bsF (Call me Flo) (time4bedsaidflorence) That would be because of the conspiracy theory....... ooops - there goes another state secret! Fake news again!!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Flo, you are risking a call from The Men. I will say no more.

Philip Whiteland | 3394 comments Gingerlily - Mistress Lantern wrote: "That seems to be a bit missing from the history books. I googled The Burton Annexation and there was a suspicious silence on the subject."

Which just proves how true it is, like Obama wiretapping Trump Towers.

message 2786: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3394 comments I don't suppose he's ever seen Trumpton - it must be ripe for a remake, surely?
