Oh, and the kind of books I like to read are more adult books and teen books. This for me was a tween book/children..."

There is no way they could have taught all about myths in fourth grade. There is so much to know, and so much that would be completely inappropriate for a child to learn about in school.

Personally, as a 19 year old, I loved them. They were fun, and silly, and remind me of the adventures I used to dream of when I was little. I like the series.

And don't go bashing young adult and tweeny books. Some of my favorite books have been young adult books. A majority of them aren't as enjoyable for people outside their demographic, but there are some that are great for all ages.

message 427: by Sophia (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sophia Same here...awesome books

Maria B. Quagliana Kimber~!! wrote: "lol April samee, thank you for being the first normal comment in a series of randomness;)!"

hey i was the one pointing out tht it was random. i wanted to get back on topic!

message 429: by Maria (new)

Maria I 'm bored of books and movies inspired from greek ,roman and egyptian myths changing completely the real stories. Please authors and scriptwriters show some respect !!!

message 430: by Jaz (new) - rated it 5 stars

Jaz 4 words: they are freakin awesome!
but if want to no why thats a diff story for every body.
for me it is because RR writes so well he can draw you in and make you think you are not reading fiction but an actual acount of whats happening.
that and i think percy is funny

I think that they weren't great writing, and kinda repetitive. But I definintly (sorry, no idea how to spell) enjoyed reading them. Does that make sense?

message 443: by Amy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Amy Lignor I love these books - I think it's because they're actually fun and not all about darkness, death, the undead, etc. They're truly action-packed and fun! A little light-heartededness is nice.

ȘᎯɱᎯɴτħᎯ Well, they were made for the author's children. Plus these books teach mythology very well, though there is some cases where the author has to tweak the facts he still executes the history of demigods, titans, giants, and gods. Percy Jackson is more of a middle school young children's book. The thinking of the series is great. I truly love how Rick Riordan mixes humor, mythology, and story-telling. Come on, Percy himself radiates old history from his name to what he has done.

Yeah, of course but I got a question...or two....what's the role of Charries? And um do you have friends because your question is very strange.

message 448: by [deleted user] (new)

Charries are the Characters in the Rp,
I had friends, but I reset my acc b/c of spam.

So you're basically meaning all the gods? And so if I want to make a character do I just post my character under what cabin I want?

message 450: by [deleted user] (new)

No, the Demigods, I'm waiting for the rp to get up and running b4 the gods. And no, post the carries in requested charries
