Ok no offense but i dont understand how you cant love them. there amazinggg. and i think a lot of people can agree that the characters seem real to them. theres like a million discussions going on about whos hottest and who should be with who. the characters are down to earth and likeable/funny/amazing

Lol, i love these books, but i see what your saying, its not exactly complicated to read, and the characters dohnt have enough flaws. Still, i think they are fun reads
I've learned a lot from the Percy Jackson Series. They helped me become more interested in history and mythology. I really love the Percy Jackson series. It's easy to read, fun, funny, and it moves forward quickly rather than slowing the reader down with useless information.

Trust me there's a fair amount of different characters here.
1. There are the die hard Percy Jackson fans who try to understand why I don't like this book-and we agree about some points.
2. There are the Percy Jackson fans who think I'm a jerk for posting my opinion and intend on telling me so.
3. Then there are the people who think the series is good.....but not great.
4. Next there are people who have no idea what we are talking about.
5. FInally, there are people who agree with me.

Im honestly one on the list, i love these books. But then again, i see your points, or at least, i attempt to. I do get that the characters arnt the best, but i always end up rooting for them XD

I think percy should have had something wrong, a flaw of some kind. I like the side characters better than the main ones in the series
He was always the hero that came to the rescue, which got on my nerves. I mean can he not be loyal for once? Or have someone else save the person? Yeah, i dont like percy much. His 'flaw' was being loyal. I mean, how can you even count that as a flaw?

Because it's freaken awesome that's why!I totally loved it! Rich riordan does a great job and is an awesome writer,
he can easily include Greek mythology in the picture along with a bit of

i LOVE these books!! every time i run out of things to read that i haven't read before (which is often!) i run to either (these are just a few of the books i read often, so don't worry!!) the Twilight series (my mom got me hooked on these!) or to any of Rick Riordan's books. however, i can understand that some people don't like these books (my older brother that that they were poorly written and refused to read past the 1st chapter) and that's completely your own choice!! everyone has there likes and dislikes and it's not my place to condemn someone for disliking something.
