Me: Well, right now she's muttering terrible curses under her breath, almost all directed at Jason, and not really paying much attention to her surroundings, disobeying Raven (but who didn't expect that?). She's blowing off steam until she can find an area suitable enough for camp. Anything that comes near here, she's so mad, she'll just shoot at the source of the sounds without looking. So, I suggest everyone stays out of The Woods.

There's packs and packs of demons (Raven leads one of his own), several werewolves, a clan of evil magicians called the Dark Ones, a smattering of vampires (there's Ricardo, Kurt von Hauten [who Saul works for] and a girlfriend-boyfriend duo, Jane and James respectively, who have gained notoriety in the human world for being unfathomably sadistic serial killers.) Then you have the few humans who know the truth about The Woods, a good deal of ghosts, (Ricardo is actually the ghost of a vampire) and then a few demons who act independently of any pack or clan.

Mercy is a nineteen-year-old girl who lived...I want to say sometime during the Middle Ages. She gets together with this womanizing jerkass of a wizard named Micah (of course no one knows how awful he is but her), stays with him for a while, then eventually gets fed up with his crap and dumps him--not before exposing his abusive tendencies to their entire town. As punishment, Micah chases her down and curses her into what is essentially a half-spider half-girl. She can shapeshift back and forth between forms at will and has the ability to telepathically communicate with all eight-legged arachnids. She's found her place in The Woods by now, and she spins webs big enough to trap humans on a regular basis--either for food (if the thing caught isn't human) or to warn (if they are.) She's rather stoic, hasn't ever cracked a smile since I've seen her, and takes it upon herself to infect the dreams of anyone who she sees (or hears about--spiders are all over The Woods, as is to be expected, and they tell her everything) killing a spider.
