Me: Ooh, do have fun! XD
The quandary is this: I really love Phoenix, okay. She's a hell of a good character and she's interesting and nuanced--but for some reason, no one has been able to have a complete RP with her in forever. They always just fizzle out, and I don't like that. What can we do to put her into a more "mainstream" role in the asylum, do you think?

Me: I agree. She needs someone she has a strong relationship to, she needs something exciting to happen to her or because of her, etc. The problem is no one really has ties to Phoenix, and writing brand new interactions every time gets tedious yknow?
Me: Precisely. All her ties are to Silvy's girls. XD
I need some mischief, that's what I need. Phoenix is a mischief-maker. *ponders*

Me: Though I wonder, too, if I couldn't put bits and pieces of her into a new character to get a better effect—reincarnate her, so to speak, the way you did with Mabel and Felix. Hmmmm.
Me: That's where we run into a problem, though. Phoenix is, but only in a practical way. All she wants is to live her life unbothered and eventually go home—she's not like Raven, who's plenty willing to screw people over for kicks. She's not even like Carlos, who knows he isn't leaving any time soon and just wants to make the most of it (plus he's just a lovably offbeat boy). That's why I'm now giving character reincarnation some thought. XD

Me: Thanks, love! And since you didn't ask but I'm excited anyway, here's my plan for darling Phoenix. XD
I am indeed going to let her out, like Lenore—but unlike Lenore, she's going to stick around here, because I don't think she's ever really going to go away in my head (she's about as stuck as Carlos, who is only slightly less vocal than Raven and Jason). So she'll still be able to talk to people, just not participate in actual canon. I made a new character to fill her spot; I'm quite proud of how she turned out. You should go see!

Me: ALSO, don't mind the new name change. I figured it's about time I actually make this real instead of some penname I developed when I was 12. If you'd still like to call me Iso out of habit,
that's entirely fine :)

Me: All's good, my friend. Annie it is. XD
Thanks! I also adore her. Can we do an RP between her and Zoya when we dial down some? Kind of like how we did with Yvonne and Raven, like "new kid first comes in and chitchat ensues".

Me: Absolutely! That would be great, perhaps once we finish up one of our current RPS :)
Also, I happened to have lost your number; if you still have mine, it should be the same and you can text me if you'd like :)

Me: All right to both. :)
Oh goodness, sorry for the goddamn novel on Poe. That's the kind of character she is--you have to write tons to get in her head and see what's going on, otherwise her posts are abysmally short and it takes ten years to finish a conversation and figure out what she's thinking, and why, and how you have to go about working with that.
Not to mention she's a horribly tortured soul, and I like writing long posts for her because she hurts so bad her prose comes out gold. It also gives me plenty of opportunity to gut-punch the reader. XD

Me: I absolutely love Poe! I think she's very interesting. With an older character, RPs can get very interesting :)
Me: Indeed. Poor Poe is sickeningly easy to manipulate; she's so old and so young all at once. She's certainly seen more in her fourteen years than any one person should ever, ever have to.
Me: A while indeed. And if you're looking for familiar faces, it will be a while longer--it would appear that we are bereft of life, at least for now, though I am still here and see, occasionally, the stumblings of the busy souls who pass through. Perhaps one day we will return to the vivacious activity of the days of old. For now, I am unsure.
Hello, Jo. How goes you?
Hello, Jo. How goes you?

Me: I could certainly fare worse, I suppose. I'm still trudging through my last year of high school; it's not going nearly as bad as last year, but I'm still a bit behind the cut as comes to scholarship/college apps and end-of-the-year assignments and such. *sigh* Ah well. So it goes.
Have you been writing much lately?

Me: Hello!!!! College has kept me incredibly busy but I'm home for the summer & incredibly bored and I've been itching to write all semester! as forewarning, I need to spend some time revamping the characters I want to keep, and my writing skills may take some time to come back because I haven't written fiction in a LONG time.
Me: Not a worry, my dear lovely friend! G*d, have I missed you.
Jason: Oh, no, don’t worry! You don’t sound creepy at all.
Raven: Taking a lesson from you, huh Turner?
Jason: *gives a quiet, enigmatic smile*
