Annie, Have no fear of perfection-- you'll never reach it.

Me: I really want to send Morgan out soon as well.
Speaking of, when/are we still doing the thing with her and Raven?

Me: Sure, if you like; but to be honest, this little thing with Yvonne seems to be doing wonders for him all on its own. It may not even be necessary.

Me: Well it may work out for the best then! Because I feel like he and Morgan have a good dynamic right now and I don't know if I want to mess with that.
Me: Viel glück, mein Freund.
@ Iso: please, please specify exactly what Yvonne wants out of this little "deal" with Raven. We don't want another Felix, now do we?

Me: No no no of course not! But I feel like even if Raven took it like that, Yvonne is fiesty enough to at least attempt to hold her own. Plus she isn't depressed and suicidal.
Me: True. But what is she offering him, specifically? I want to make that clear before I get Raven started on the wrong path.

Me: I don't even think she knows. Ummm lets think. You know how you said we don't need Morgan anymore because Yvonne is working wonders for him somehow? Maybe it's permission to keep doing whatever is "working wonders"? idk.
Me: Well, the only thing that's doing that is the anticipation of knowing that he is going to get to show her, going to make her realize--one way or the other--that he is bigger and badder than she is, always has been, always will be. That's what's putting him in such high spirits.
And Yvonne...she's asking for a lot. Raven does not extend protection to people he doesn't know, let alone dislike. She's going to have to give him offer quite a payment if she wants his shadow walking before her--and it will have to be continuous unless she wants the protection to stop. Thoughts?

Me: So then if the anticipation of making her realize she is nothing compared to him is what's helping him out, what if she just never realizes that? Or she does at some point but doesn't let it on that she does so that Raven can keep this high of making sure she knows she is absolutely nothing?
I know Yvonne is asking for a lot, and I'm fairly certain she's a pretty tough cookie and could offer a lot in return, but like you said... I don't want her to end up like another Felix. Too many of my characters have offered Raven "whatever he wants" and it never ends up very well, but I feel like if we have this sort of barter system between them it could lead to a really interesting dynamic in their relationship, yknow? Something new and fresh to RP.

Me: Indeed, indeed, I quite agree with you--I just want to make sure we don't fall into the same old pattern, as you said. Bear in mind that Raven himself doesn't really know what he wants--it could develop any way, really. He does not consider Yvonne prey, after all. She's too feisty. This (if cards are played right) could end up a very interesting dynamic indeed.

Me: Then I think, since both of them really don't know what she's talking about, that this will work out quite interesting. We'll see where it ends up.

Me: Hooray!!! I am going to be busy this WHOLE week so I don't know how many replies I'll get in :/
Me: Ach. I had been hoping otherwise. But that's all right, my friend—we've a whole summer to take care of writing, do we not?
Me: It is indeed. Apologies for the lack of response; I haven't been feeling very well today. I ought get to it soon.

Also: what think you of Cerise, my dear? Will she and Yvonne be personable?

Me: I know, I know, I'm so sorry, I know I promised replies and I didn't give any :/ I'm getting home super late tonight but I can try and give a few replies. We'll see. Absolute worst-case scenario, my weeks become mostly free next week and I can provide them then.
Me: Okay. I don't mean to rush you, love, but I'm having major surgery tomorrow and don't know how able I'll be to give replies for many weeks after that. That's why I pushed for it; because though I am cut off for a week, it will likely be more for you.

Me: I shall indeed. Mind, I'll probably be about lurking; 'tis only that I don't know how often I'll actually feel up to giving replies. After 1:30 this afternoon, (10:30 your time) you may not see much of me. It shall depend.
Me: Let's play a little game, shall we? It's called I'm Exhausted and So Doped Up I Can't See Straight, but Despite It All, I Still Can't Sleep. The reigning champion happens to be no other than yours truly! :D

Me: Thank you, Audra.
Update: in a lot less pain than yesterday, but my legs are being bitches and not jumping on the "hey let's give Hope a bit of a break" bandwagon.
