Character-Self Chat
Me: And he is how old again? Over one-hundred? And he is sexually attracted to a sixteen-year-old? What, do vampires in that story never sexually mature past the point they were changed? Does Edward still have the sex drive of an eighteen-year-old? Because if he doesn't...

Me: Apparently not, yet Edward is so much older than he looks and acts his real age, so that's a major contradiction. Even if he were still attracted to a girl his age, what the hell? Why her? The books make it obvious she's socially awkward. They're so odd. What? No, just no for so many reasons! The most hilarious thing I've ever seen about Twilight is a comment on tumblr about the books. Basically, it's reminding everyone that vampires are dead, so there's no blood in them, so they can't have any blood flow, so if you know anything about science, it's impossible for vampires to produce anything to create a child. XD It's great. I love science.
Me: And then it begs the question--how do they function? No blood means no oxygen circulating to the brain, which means no action, no speech, no anything.
The demon species I've created in my head have an excuse, at least. XD

Me: That's true, too! :O I didn't think about that. In the books it says they don't need to breathe and they can live without oxygen because they're not alive, but how can they do day to day things without oxygen? I don't know unless the poison does something special and preserves the brain, which I doubt?
That begs the question how other vampires exist, too, not just sparkling ones.
What's their excuse? XD

Me: They have to take over other bodies in order to masquerade as human. As far as I can fathom, there are three ways to do that.
One, you come across a dying person and persuade them/force them to give you permission to use their body and then just as they die you take it over (the body keeps on with its natural processes because it hasn't been given time to register the fact that it's dead yet.)
Two, you find a living person and they give their body to you (for example, there's a demon I've got named Jillian who was a concubine to some fancy noble at some point during medieval times and hated every minute of it. A demon happens upon her, they meet up in secret for several nights, and then Jillian agrees to give up her consciousness so long as the demon's first act in her body is to kill her master and everyone associated with him.)
Three, you simply posses a person and eradicate all traces of their consciousness in one giant attack on the mind. It's hard to do unless you're powerful, but it works well.

Me: He's walking the Trail of Tears with his family, yes? They've got a horse, and it's his turn to ride. He falls off, breaks his leg, gets left behind. The leg gets infected, he gets very sick, and as he's dying the demon (who'd been watching him for days) finally reveals itself. When all is said and done, they end up making a deal--Raven says the demon can take his body so long as it leaves the rest of his family alone (because let's face it, demons are assholes and it would've gone after them at some point or other.) The demon agrees, and now you've got demon-Raven.

Man I found a wonderful picture of Fanning from Hide and Seek but it's so small. I hate using small pictures. *sigh*

Me: All right. I should work on Megara, too. Her appearance flew by easily, but that first sentence of the personality. Ugh. It's hard.
Me: It's always hard. Bring your pickaxe, and dig out the useless rock. Then you'll find yourself an ore vein.

Me: Yes, but much better formed than she was last night at any rate. It makes it easier to think of everything else when new characters have appearances--I can actually imagine them doing things. It's only a matter of fleshing her out now.

Me: Now I just hope they aren't an irritating gushy couple. I would hate breaking them like that. -.-
Me: There not going to be gushy. Raven doesn't have that in him.
Besides, there was never a guarantee that their plan would work, is there?
Raven: You would not.

Me: Do you know how easily we can poof you out of that closet?
Me: Do you know how easily we can poof you out of that closet?
Raven: *raising an eyebrow* Sweetheart, I can't go in there. Do you have any idea how many coming-out-of the-closet jokes people would make?

Oh my god. *shakes head* The stupidity of that girl, I swear. I certainly would not get excited about it! It's creepy as hell. Then she gets all depressed when they break up and she just lies in the fetal position, unmoving for a few months. -.-' No. You don't do that. No one does that! I would probably give him a nice slap or kick between the legs if I were her.
