This is the 6th in a series and was just published about 3 months ago so I don’t want to say anything too spoilerish but the ghostly connection isn’t very obvious from the description, so…
***mild spoilers***
The main character is able to see ghosts which is explained in previous books in the series. And in this one, her ability to see and speak with them plays a significant role in moving the plot forward, especially as it relates to her Native American ancestry and her father who was killed before she was born.
As an added bonus, they are camping throughout most of the book so the title of the task and this book fit especially well together. :)
