I'm about half way through 36 Arguments for the Existence of God: A Work of Fiction by Rebecca Newberger Goldstein which I am really LOVING. The author is clearly brilliant and very well-read.

I'm half way through The Suicide Shop. Imaginative and unconventional. Eager to see where it will lead.
I'm still reading The Hobbit, which I'm really enjoying but I haven't had much time to read. I also started The Tree Shepherd's Daughter by Gillian Summers, which is off to an okay start.
I just couldn't finish Blind Assassin. I got bored and had to put it down. Getting ready to start The Kitchen House.

Looking forward to reading it again sooner. Hope you enjoy it too.

I finished Rage and I started Killing FloorKilling Floor. Even though this is the first in the series, it is not the first Reacher book that I've read.
Just finished

I finished reading
by S.E. Hinton last night. This was my first time reading The Outsiders. I never managed to get around to reading it as a teenager but I've heard so many people say it is one of their favourite books so I thought it was about time that I read it finally. And now that I've finished the book I can't believe I waited so long! The Outsiders is a gripping and compelling read which is full of suspense. It was also extremely heart-breaking and touching at times. The novel is very well-written, considering S.E. Hinton was just seventeen years old when she wrote it. I was amazed with the amount of depth and layers in this book. It really is wonderful. Five stars! My full review is here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Today I've started reading
by Charlotte Rogan.
Dana * wrote: "Listening to Who I Am for a change of pace. Pete reads the book. it is great listening so far."I can't wait to read that one. The Who is one of my favorite bands.
I just finished
by Linda Castillo, which was very good if a little disturbing.I've started
by Kalayna Price and am already enjoying it enough that I know I'll have to add the other two books in the series to the top of Mount TBR.
Mark wrote: "Finished the audio version of A Discovery of Witches. I can't believe it but I enjoyed it.Started listening to The Twelve.
Still reading Anathem on my kindle."
Do you like Anathem? I've had it sitting on my shelf for a long time, but I can't bring myself to start it.

I loved that one but not as much as his other books!

Mark, Just so you know, I had the opposite experience with The Twelve. I struggled with it at first, but then couldn't put it down at the end. Gave it 5 stars.
What in the name of all-boys'-school am I reading?
The lead girl has some really weird issues and an even weirder family. Her thoughts are all abnormal and wrong and so are her interactions and the shitty drama. I can't fathom why this book has good reviews and earned rewards but since I'm more than half-way through, I'll see to the ordeal till the end.
Total buzzkill.
Got some new books this week that I started and am enjoying all of them.
The Blood Gospel by James Rollins and Rebecca Cantrell.
Virus: The Day of Resurrection by Sakyo Komatsu. New print/translation of a 1960's Japanese post-apocalyptic story. The Cowboy and the Cossack by Clair Huffaker which is being reprinted courtesy of Amazon's book lust revival series.
Finished
It was downright horrible.
However, a particular character in it intrigued me so much that I had to grab the spin-off of the above which starred him as the lead. So currently reading
which hasn't been a disappointment so far.
I just started
by Christopher Moore. This is will be the first book I've read by Christopher Moore. I'm excited to start this one!!
Jennifer wrote: "I just started

I've finished reading
by Charlotte Rogan yesterday. The Lifeboat is the debut novel of author Charlotte Rogan. It is a compelling, gripping and extremely thought-provoking tale. This novel tells the story of survival at its most basic level. It explores human nature and morality. It shows what happens to people while they are fighting to stay alive. The novel is a psychological thriller really. The book is very well-written. I really loved the author's writing style. I was completely engrossed in this novel from the very first page. The way in which Charlotte Rogan describes the moral decisions the characters have to make is quiet chilling. My full review is here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Now I'm halfway through
by Sophie Kinsella.
Jennifer wrote: "I just started

I'm sooooo in Gone Girl
!!! We have to vote it for book of next month to discuss it together! It's a winner of 2012 and I'm agree for this nomination
Ellie wrote: "I've finished reading

About half way through, after a severe reading lag of Robert Hick's
I'm liking the characters, but I'm not sure where the plot is headed. Don't know if it's the book or me with my sense of blah about books recently.
Purple Cane Road by James Lee Burke. He's without a doubt one of the best crime writers writing today.
Finished
Mediocre but a refreshing break between switching genres.
Need to choose a good action/thriller now.

You and Dorie are right...I have laughed several times while reading this book..I love this kind of humor. Hope to finish this book tonight. I will definately be reading his other books.
Emilly R wrote: "i am reading "MY ANTONIA" BY WILLA CATHER"I really enjoyed reading it last year. Hope you enjoy it too.
I read about 6 or so Christmas themed books so for something completely different I am reading Needful Things and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?.
About to start The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. I've wanted to read it for a long time, but never got around to it for whatever reason.
I am reading Beyond Recognition By Ridley Pearson. it's part of the Boldt Matthews series. it's fantastic!
The Art of Not Being Governed: An Anarchist History of Upland Southeast Asia which is truly exciting.
I finished A Storm of Swords and am hooked on that series. In between I am now reading Mildred Pierce.
I've finished reading
by Sophie Kinsella yesterday. The first half of the book was quite good but I got a bit bored with it during the second half. The book was well-written and it had a lot of extremely funny scenes in it. However, the plot was very predictable. I made a guess when I was at 5% of the way in about how this book would end and I figured it out exactly! The author is not very good at adding "twists and turns" into her plots, which is the main reason I haven't picked up a book by this author for ten years. I thought the author would have learned something in all that time but apparently not!My full review is here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Now I'm a few chapters into
by Christopher Moore.
