for the first time. I can't believe I'm 42 and have never read this masterpiece or watched the movie. It is simply delicious.Kristen, glad you have found and are enjoying this book! I read it when I was 12 and we were visiting my grandparents. It was her book and I just took it out to see what it was and couldn't put it down. I have seen the movie enough that I can do ALL the parts! LOL I also have a collection of the dolls and other memorabillia. Obviously my favorite story ever. : )
Today I started three new books, A Death at the North Pole, The Long Midnight Of Barney Thomson and The Sunday Philosophy Club.

I finished Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen by Christopher McDougall which I found interesting. Makes a non-runner want to lace up the sneakers. . . .or run barefoot! Now I'm going to read The Stand by Stephen King.
I just finished DEFENDING JACOB by William Landay and it was fantastic! Now am reading ONE THOUSAND WHITE WOMEN- THE JOURNALS OF MAY DODD by Jim Fergus for book club.
Gastoryteller wrote: "I'm reading Fragile Beasts and absolutely love it!"The title is appealing. What's the blurb?
I'm reading The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. I'm about halfway through, and I'm enjoying it far more than I thought I was going to!

Nightlife: A Novel
Jess wrote: "I'm reading The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. I'm about halfway through, and I'm enjoying it far more than I thought I was going to!"I just bought a copy of this one and the second one so I glad to here you like it.
I just finished Nightlife: A Novel, I got to 100 and threw it across the room. It was not my type of thriller:( It had a few highs and lows but never held my interest.I am about to begin Wrong Place, Wrong Time, I really hope this does not disappoint. After two back to back horrible books, hope this does not disappoint:) pray as I read that this does not turn out bad LOL

It took me a while to get into it, just because I went into it not really knowing what to expect out of it. But once I sat back and just immersed myself in the story, it became quite enjoyable!
I was reading O Jerusalem, but put it down briefly to read The Baker's Daughter, which is crazy good. I'm also trying valiantly to slog through The Highest Stakes, but it's slow going.

Oh good! I went ahead and picked up the 3rd book in the series, whew!
It's me, books or my flu???????? I've never had so many books in row then recently which I don't like and rate 1 or 2 stars!!!!!!!!!

It was not my type of thriller:( It had a few highs and lows but never held my interest.I don't have so bad opinion about this book, especially because I was reading much more (for me) worse books recently and all of them just in row. So this one - even not a worst.
It's regular thriller and I read already very similar stories, but still it keeps my interest
I'm reading a strange little book called The Long Midnight Of Barney Thomson, some parts are funny but I'm not sure they are meant to be funny! I'm also reading Wild & Steamy which is exactly that, LOL. Three novellas, the first of which introduced me to streampunk, which I rather liked. Second story is shapeshifting and gets graphic and wild. Just about to start the last story.
Julia wrote: "I just started Bluegrass State of Mind by Kathleen Brooks and Sincerely, Jesus by Edward Goble."is it good?
Yuliya wrote: "It's me, books or my flu???????? I've never had so many books in row then recently which I don't like and rate 1 or 2 stars!!!!!!!!!"Oh, I hate being in a bad book-stream!

sounds good, is it gay??? hahaha
I am reading Storm of Swords, book three in the Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin. Brilliant and epic fantasy/alternative universe/historical fiction all wrapped into one with some of the most detailed and real characters in all of literature.
the two afterwards are harder to read due to the character and geographical division, but they add tons more into the already detailed world and have a lot of surprises in store for you so cheers :P

T'on Ma is the protagonists name in the Kiowa (Native American) language, it means Water Woman.
