Kristen, glad you have found and are enjoying this book! I read it when I was 12 and we were visiting my grandparents. It was her book and I just took it out to see what it was and couldn't put it down. I have seen the movie enough that I can do ALL the parts! LOL I also have a collection of the dolls and other memorabillia. Obviously my favorite story ever. : )

Patricia | 185 comments I finished Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen by Christopher McDougall which I found interesting. Makes a non-runner want to lace up the sneakers. . . .or run barefoot!

Now I'm going to read The Stand by Stephen King.

message 26818: by Michael (new)

Michael (book_nerd1991) I just finished Nightlife: A Novel, I got to 100 and threw it across the room. It was not my type of thriller:( It had a few highs and lows but never held my interest.

I am about to begin Wrong Place, Wrong Time, I really hope this does not disappoint. After two back to back horrible books, hope this does not disappoint:) pray as I read that this does not turn out bad LOL

It took me a while to get into it, just because I went into it not really knowing what to expect out of it. But once I sat back and just immersed myself in the story, it became quite enjoyable!

message 26820: by tiasreads (new)

tiasreads I was reading O Jerusalem, but put it down briefly to read The Baker's Daughter, which is crazy good. I'm also trying valiantly to slog through The Highest Stakes, but it's slow going.

I don't have so bad opinion about this book, especially because I was reading much more (for me) worse books recently and all of them just in row. So this one - even not a worst.
It's regular thriller and I read already very similar stories, but still it keeps my interest

message 26824: by Karen M (new)

Karen M | 1956 comments I'm reading a strange little book called The Long Midnight Of Barney Thomson, some parts are funny but I'm not sure they are meant to be funny! I'm also reading Wild & Steamy which is exactly that, LOL. Three novellas, the first of which introduced me to streampunk, which I rather liked. Second story is shapeshifting and gets graphic and wild. Just about to start the last story.

Matthew S. (msurdan) | 5 comments I am reading Storm of Swords, book three in the Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin. Brilliant and epic fantasy/alternative universe/historical fiction all wrapped into one with some of the most detailed and real characters in all of literature.

message 26837: by Razmatus (new)

T'on Ma is the protagonists name in the Kiowa (Native American) language, it means Water Woman.
