If you are interested in a action-filled, post-apocalptic love story check out After the Virus! Averaging 4.5 stars on Amazon (out of 10 reviews) and 3.75 stars on Goodreads (out of 8 reviews)...Goodreads readers are obviously harder to please - ha!

Hopefully you enjoy the read!!

Felicia Rogers (feliciarogers) | 45 comments YA paranormal suspense romance The Key by Felicia Rogers is still on sale for .99! Don't know for how much longer.

Blurb:
A teenage girl suffering from a family tragedy, Maddie Clevenger is oblivious to the ancient mystery surrounding her. She's young and incredibly unlucky, in life and in love. She should be enjoying her senior year of high school, but instead she is tormented by a reoccurring nightmare and a very real stalker. But all that changes when Chase Donovan, an Air Force brat with a protective streak, shows up at school. Will Chase be the key to helping her solve her stalker problem? Will he be the key to solving the mystery surrounding her family's past?

If you like, then the sequel is already published as well! Although it is a tad more than the $2.99 mentioned here. Mara's Secret by Felicia Rogers

Thanks!

Kenechi Udogu (trixycae) | 7 comments Thanks so much for letting us self promote on this forum! It's been a nightmare finding forums which accept authors trying to market their own work. Fantasy readers might be interested in my novel, The Other Slipper. Its only $2.96 on Amazon.com (£1.90 on Amazon.co.uk). I hope people enjoy it!

Blurb: When Jo finds a lone glass slipper on the night of the royal ball, she realises that there is more to the seemingly ordinary object than meets the eye. Searching for its owner, she is led to the palace where the princess sets her on a journey that thrusts her into an unexpected world of magic and illusions. It soon becomes clear that there is a lot more to her mission as she discovers startling secrets about her past and struggles to embrace her destiny.

While I'm here I'd like to mention my newest release. There Your Heart Will Be Also by Felicia Rogers There Your Heart Will Be Also is a historical suspense romance, released this past week by Astraea Press. Price is $2.99.

This novel was my first written work. It took me to years to make this book become a reality. I'm just thrilled to have it out there.

Thanks for the opportunity to share my story!

Blurb: Only daughter of an English lord, Sarra of Greenbriar, is used to getting her way. So when her father passes and the King begins sending suitors, she feels justified in taking matters into her own hands. Through a series of harmless pranks, Sarra works to keep the potential husbands at bay.

Cedric MacNeil is a Scotsman that has lost it all. Death claimed his parents and jealousy claimed his entitled position as Laird of his clan. Since his mother was a familiar of the English court, he leaves his native land and heads to England to fight on behalf of the English King. Tournaments are won, earning honor and glory for the crown. Cedric’s reward is the opportunity to gain what he wants most in this life, land.

But as he gets to know Sarra, he realizes he might get more than he bargained for.

Will the $2.99 be a limited time price? Just curious if I should snap it up now or if I can wait until I have read the sample.

Harry Smith (1923amemoir) | 25 comments The Barley Hole Chronicles $99 cents on kindle

Barley Hole was for my great grandfather Canaan, the land of milk and honey. For my father, it was paradise lost and for my mother, Barley Hole was a curse. It was a place that haunted her spirit and her soul throughout her life. To me, Barley Hole is a name forever etched on the map of my family's heart; it is where betrayal and injustice nearly thrust us into oblivion.
The Barley Hole Chronicles are an odyssey of the human spirit that stretch across time and geography to incorporate, diverse personalities, personal hardships, World Wars and the struggle for peace and love, in a society fallen from grace. These Chronicles document one Yorkshire family's decent into the wilderness of poverty and hunger. It is a personal record of one young man's struggle to survive the great depression, the Second World War and the hazards and wonders of life in post war Germany. The Barley Hole Chronicles are a summation of two memoirs by Harry Leslie Smith 1923 and Hamburg 1947. The Barley Hole Chronicles are a true account of a time and place when life, full of raw emotion, was never so real. It is also a social history of the 20th century at its bloodiest and deadliest time. The Barley Hole Chronicles From Hell to Hamburg 23/47 by Harry Leslie Smith

Harry Smith (1923amemoir) | 25 comments Hamburg 1947 A Place for the Heart to Kip by Harry Leslie Smith $1.99 on Kindle

"Twenty-two years old and ready for peace, Harry Leslie Smith has survived the Great Depression and endured the Second World War. Now, in 1945 in Hamburg, Germany, he must come to terms with a nation physically and emotionally devastated. In this memoir, he narrates a story of people searching to belong and survive in a world that was almost destroyed.
Hamburg 1947 recounts Smith’s youthful RAF days as part of the occupational forces in post-war Germany. A wireless operator during the war, he doesn’t want to return to Britain and join a queue of unemployed former servicemen; he reenlists for long term duty in occupied Germany. From his billet in Hamburg, a city razed to the ground by remorseless aerial bombardment, he witnesses a people and era on the brink of annihilation. This narrative presents a street-level view of a city reduced to rubble populated with refugees, black marketers, and cynical soldiers.
At times grim and other times amusing, Smith writes a memoir relaying the social history about this time and place, providing a unique look at post-WWII Germany. Hamburg 1947 is both a love story for a city and a passionate retailing of a love affair with a young German woman."Hamburg 1947: A Place for the Heart to Kip

Tina Boscha (tinaboscha) | 19 comments Hi all! I'm posting on Thanksgiving Day, hoping that this reaches you before the tryptophan kicks in!

For lovers of historical/literary fiction (and perhaps coming-of-age too), River in the Sea is available for 2.99.

Description:
At fifteen, Leen De Graaf likes everything she shouldn’t: smoking cigarettes, wearing red lipstick, driving illegally, and working in the fields. It seems the only thing she shares with her fellow Dutchmen is a fear of the German soldiers stationed nearby and a frantic wish for the war to end. When a soldier’s dog runs in front of Leen’s truck, her split-second reaction sets off a storm of events that pitches her family against the German forces when they are most desperate – and fierce. Leen tries to hold her family together, but despite her efforts, bit by bit everything falls apart, and just when Leen experiences a horrific loss, she must make a decision that could forever brand her a traitor, yet finally allow her to live as her heart desires. Inspired by the life of the author’s mother, River in the Sea is a powerful and moving account of one girl reaching adulthood when everything she believes about family, friendship, and loyalty is questioned by war.

“Tina Boscha’s prose is exemplary; her protagonist in River in the Sea is highly sympathetic; and her setting of Friesland, Netherlands, is alive with details. I fell in love with her tender gaze at the world she creates.”
-Samrat Upadhyay, author of The Guru of Love

Here's the link for Amazon.

Enjoy! And please let me know if you end up reading it - I LOVE to hear from readers.
