Chop Suey: A Darby Stansfield Thriller

Blurb:
Danica Parker is attracted to a man at her firm: Marco Reyes—someone on her staff. When it comes to her career, she’s always made the right decisions. Rather than risk her heart and her career with a sexual harassment complaint, she plays it cool whenever the sexy Director of Finance is nearby.
Marco Reyes has been attracted to Danica from day one, but she’s never given an inkling she can tolerate his presence, much less express interest. When Valentine’s Day arrives, Marco tries a new tactic. She may be his boss, but she’s also a woman. And Marco knows how to charm a woman.

1923: A Memoir $1.19 Kindle USA or 83p UK
Review
It's a personal as well as a social history. Smith has the knack of bringing the times to life in a way that few writers can manage. It's the ability to tell a story, the knowledge of when to move on & not labour a point.
--The Bookbag
1923 is a book that succeeds in two ways with ease, both as a personal memoir of a life lived in a volatile age and as a record of that age for all time. --The Current Reader
"1923" is uplifting and highly recommended. --Midwest Book Review
1923: A Memoir is a protest against social injustice, corruption, war, famine, poverty, and societies blinded by greed. More importantly, it is the story of hope and the notion that anything can be overcome if desired. --The Publishing Guru
Product Description
To say that Harry Smith was born under an unlucky star would be an understatement. Born in England in 1923, Smith chronicles the tragic story of his early life in this first volume of his memoirs. He presents his family’s early history—their misfortunes and their experiences of enduring betrayal, inhumane poverty, infidelity, and abandonment.
1923: A Memoir presents the story of a life lyrically described, capturing a time both before and during World War II when personal survival was dependent upon luck and guile. During this time, failure insured either a trip to the workhouse or burial in a common grave. Brutally honest, Smith’s story plummets to the depths of tragedy and flies up to the summit of mirth and wonder, portraying real people in an uncompromising, unflinching voice.
1923: A Memoir tells of a time and place when life, full of raw emotion, was never so real.
Cheers, Harry

When struggling hardware store owner Bill Ferguson stumbles upon a kidnapping in progress, he does what we all like to believe we would do - he steps in and breaks up the crime, saving a young girl from a horrific fate.
The perpetrator, a serial kidnapper/murderer known as the I-90 Killer, escapes and vows revenge, focusing his twisted obsession on Ferguson's family. When Bill's daughter disappears soon after, the frantic father forms an uneasy alliance with a beautiful FBI investigator leading the search for the I-90 Killer.
But there are forces at play which go much deeper than Ferguson realizes, and the danger may go far beyond one kidnapped girl. Bill Ferguson knows he must risk everything to save his child - the question is, will he be too late?
Bestselling author Scott Nicholson says of THE LONELY MILE, "Allan Leverone delivers a taut crime drama full of twists and conspiracy."

Interpol cop, Anna Leyton, spirals down into a hopeless vortex of sexual and emotional passion as she fights to keep her professional cool. Who is deceiving who in this fast moving ride across continents? What motivates her art loving prize-bull of a lover Freddie La Salle? The power of love and trust stands against greed and crime as conflicting forces grapple for that knockout punch.
This is a fast-paced romantic suspense novel of around 64000 words, with adult content - ideal if you are looking for a "HOT" summer read.
I have had some lovely reviews so far on Amazon and Goodreads here is a sample:
5*. Wow. This book kept me reading into the wee hours of the night. Not only is it a compelling mystery, it's also a sexy love story. The passion between Anna and Freddie is worth reading just for itself, but the Interpol/police story line was extremely interesting. Great book; just the thing for a summer read. It's well written and I was totally swept up in the world of the book. That's what reading a good book is all about, isn't it? You get to leave your life for a while and be entertained by som...more
Hope you have a passionate summer.
Thanks to all.

Sub-Prime
It is a hard-hitting gritty tale of the survival of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
It is available on Amazon.com ($1.38) and Amazon.co.uk (0.86) and is currently FREE on Smashwords.
Blurb:
Two powerless beings are swept together in a transient struggle for survival. Could the human spirit transcend the brutality and indifference of their brief experience before they are once again swept helplessly apart?
Far more than a love story - this is a story about love.
I have been pleased with some great reviews:
5*. This story hooked me in from the very start. It's set in the real world, not a prettified one, and the writing is excellent. Though the character is in a harsh setting, he's not hopeless or beat-down. He can still love, he can still feel everything intensely, and he was absolutely fascinating. If you've ever been forced to do a job you don't want to do because you have to feed your family (or even if you haven't!), you'll like this story.
This book has the added bonus of a link to a FREE audiobook version of the story which is in MP3 format so can be listened to on the Kindle (copy into music folder).
I hope you find this book interesting.
Thanks to you all
Emma

In a way, it really worked to my benefit. When I became insistent about getting actual figures on the books sold, the publisher let me out of the contract.
Now my producer is making a commercial for the books that will be seen nationwide. I'm sure I'll be selling tons of books in the near future, between that and the movie. The publisher's shortsightedness and bad business behavior will wind up costing him quite a bit and I will now keep 100% of the profits...
So, in the end, I'm good with how it all worked out.

THE MEYERSCO HELIX
‘How the hell did we come to where the President of the United States has two minutes to decide whether he will nuke Boston or kill the world instead?’
The Meyersco Helix traces the frighteningly plausible accidents by which the casual killing of a near-extinct mole escalates inexorably towards where an anguished President’s must choose either to let a self-propagating biowar substance to kill the world’s population — or to destroy a major American city by nuclear blast.
THE SLAUGHTER OF THE INNOCENTS

Alive Ribicoff is a lethal liability — but dead his K116-glutted body will unleash chemical slaughter on a scale that will make the Black Death look like a summer cold.
Pursued by the massed might of US security forces, Ribicoff acts with the desperate, ruthless bloodlust of an animal at bay — until they corner him in Boston. Where his fiancé, the biochemist Stella Christopher, certain that he will come to her, is desperately working on a cure, despite the agents of her own government trying to kill her.
But will an American President act with equal ruthlessness?
There is only one way to cauterize the city of America’s Founding Fathers, and it will be no tea party...
