I'm really regretting buying the whole trilogy now because I know now that I'll probably never read them. There was a buy 2 get 1 free offer on the series so I couldn't resist. When will I ever learn???

Kristen Hill (kthomp38) | 15 comments Stephen King is great! I have read a bunch of his stuff. This one isn't actually a horror novel like most of his other works, it is about traveling back in time to stop the Kennedy assassination.

Aoibhínn (aoibhinn) I've finished reading Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith this morning. I try to read at least one classic per month so this month I've decided to read The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper.

message 227: by Lori (new)

Lori Walker I'm trying to read Jane Eyre by Friday, when I'm supposed to start Possession and Light in August. I'm not sure I'll make it (I probably won't) but it will be fun to try.

All 3 I've my eyes on. Jane Eyre is great, I think, but it might be harder to get into if you don't read lots of classics. I love William Faulkner, and Jane Austen I truly hope to love. ENJOY

message 229: by Lori (new)

Lori Walker I've never read Jane Eyre before. I'm trying to get back in the habit of reading more classics, so I decided to dive in with that one. Faulkner is one of my favorites, so I'm excited to read another of his books for the first time.

Lori, this group has read Jane Eyre before, so if you like you can check out the old threads in the Rory Book Discussions folder. The discussion was broken down into several parts (chapters 1-4, 6-10, etc) so you can adjust with how far ahead you are in the book.

I liked the 1st and the 4th, they were nice!
But honestly, I am a bit tired and a bit sick of Harry Potter... All the fuss about it. I suppose that if they hadn't made the movies - I would have still liked it... What do you think?
