The first few chapters are kinda slow. But it picks up really fast later on. At some chapters I almost cried, it's such a tragic story and Arthur Golden really brought the characters to life in this book.

and i'm reading

I am a bit undecided on it at the moment but still want to read the rest of it.

and i'm reading

I bet you did! It normally involves me throwing a party so... *throws a party* *hands out cookies* Woo!

Great book. Have fun finishing it. Which you have by now, I'm sure.

and i'm reading

Congratulations!!! did you like it? :)
*brings more cookies and juice*
I picked up
for the Bitches' reading night last night. Only managed a couple of hours of reading before the bf interrupted it and I had to give up. Finished it this morning.
Still struggling with
- I might have to turn it into bath time reading so I can't escape from it.

Lol, that is a good plan but wouldn't always work for me as I often read from my e-reader in the bath. All the other books to distract me are there at the touch of a button...

Ah, the beauty of still having paperbacks! Once I'm in the bath with a book, I have no choice but to read that book... or just lay back and relax - but I prefer to read.

Plus, it's a lot less expensive if you accidentally drop the book, lol. Touch wood, that's not happened to me yet!
I can always tell when I'm enjoying a book because my boyfriend will complain that I was ages in the bathroom. I get sucked in and don't notice until the water has gone stone-cold.

and i'm reading

in the end, i did like it. i'm glad i pushed myself through it. i needed help to understand it, but i liked looking at the garden of eden through different eyes. although, i have to say, i don't consider eve doing all the cooking and serving my idea of paradise.
when a book really hits me, i'll dream about it....and i had a bizarre dream afterwards that i could only contribute to that book!

Last year, my class had to make a movie of Paradise Lost. I had to be Sin and another demon of forgotten name XD

I'm starting Cat's Cradle. Heard it's a really interesting book.

I just returned a few books to the library that I'll have to check out at a later date when I have time to read them. One was Dragon Slippers which had the best opening line EVER: "It was my aunt who decided to give me to the dragon." That alone makes me want to read the book.

So I'm reading a lot. Bust busy lol. xD

Have I ever told you how much I love your way of putting things - your bluntness on these subjects makes me giggle (and considering I'm at work at the mo' that's not always good :P)

No you haven't. Although reading it then made me giggle. I have this problem where thoughts won't just stay in my head! xD It will get me into trouble one day, probably on Twitter. :P (I'm sorry for making you giggle while you're working. I will behave now. :P)

Have I ever told you how much ..."
Haha, I need to be there to watch you go at it about something! Don't behave - it's hilarious, I'll just tell work people I'm slightly insane (they'll believe it too!)
I REALLY can't make myself pick this darn book up again, but I need to - I promised myself I would never leave another book unfinished and I refuse to let this short, 150-page thing break me! I want to start my next book :(

Have I ever told you ..."
Haha, it can be quite dramatic and very loud. When I get into these 'fits of passion' when I read, see, hear something I don't like people tend to back away from the crazy girl. xD Not that I'm crazy, I have an 'artistic temperament'. Haha! Oh no poor you! You're going to be crazy on my account! xD
I feel like I've been a bit slack with reading this last week - even though I finished
a couple of days ago. I guess I've got used to getting through more than that recently!
I'm now reading
, as I've decided to read a couple of self-published books every month as a sign of support to my fellow indie authors. I'm not doing the reciprocal review thing though - I couldn't give a book a four star or five star rating just to receive one in return. My conscience would get the better of me. If the book interests me then I'll read it and I'll be happy to buy it.

(P.S. Do I get a party once I've finished this? :P)

You definitely get a party as you have found it such an ordeal. ;)
I was looking at my reading challenge stats earlier and somehow City of Glass is the longest book I have read all year. It didn't feel that long but then I read it as an ebook - is the print in the paper copy really big or something?

Wow - I'm beginning to think more and more that I'm lucky to have managed to have never heard of this author. Does everyone who finishes CC books need a 'thank goodness you survived' party/rehab or what? ;P

Tomorrow I shall move on to something that sounds much better -

Yay! Party!
It's just short of 500 pages Emma. It's pretty long. I've read longer but it's longer than your average YA novel.

No lol. It's just me... and quite possibly my fellow mods. xD I am one of the fussiest readers ever though. CC just isn't good enough. xD
I'm reading
and OMG it's killing me. At first it was funny that the character says 'mais par ma chandelle verte!' pretty much once per page... but now it's just annoying me.

I'm now focussing on
