Amanda (peanutty222) | 529 comments I just finished Bitten and Stolen by Kelley Armstrong. I really liked Bitten, Stolen wasn't great. There are a ton more book to the series, so I am hopeing book #2 was a fluke.
I am starting the Stephanie Plum series One for the Money by Janet Evanovich. Anyone read it yet? I've started several series lately and they seem to be getting worse, not better.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) It stinks when you pick up a few books back to back and none of them are good.

I get bored easily, so I like the story to grab me right away. Six months ago I had more patience for extreme/long world building. The more I read, the less patience I have for it.

message 3303: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Amanda I am a huge fan of the Stephanie Plum books.

message 3304: by Christie (new)

Christie | 3 comments I really enjoyed the Stephanie plum series until my to read list got longer...I need to get back to it...I am currently reading the end to a trilogy A Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray

message 3305: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) Yep, Stephanie Plum is great! Poor girl can't seem to catch a break.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I really liked the Gemma Doyle trilogy (Sweet Far Thing), but know that not everyone else likes it.

Have yet to try Stephanie Plum. At some point I just might, since a few people I know enjoy the series.

message 3307: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) You should Stacia, they're easy reads. Stephs just an average woman with no super powers. Nothing complicated to remember. No new world rules to remember.

message 3308: by Ali (new)

Ali | 106 comments I'm on the 2nd Stephanie Plum book.. like them so far. Also just picked up the new Clare book.. Infernal Devices or something like that ...

If you didn't like Stolen, you might not like Dime Store Magic. It focuses on Paige and Savannah from Stolen, and in my opinion, starts off very slow. It definitely got better towards the end.

message 3310: by cazdoll (new)

cazdoll im reading virginia andrews broken wings it good so far will be reading the sequel after it

message 3311: by Tiphaine (new)

Tiphaine | 71 comments Aboout to start The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
I really like Stephanie Plum too tough I have read only 3 or 4 books and not in order!

oooh an Eddings fan... I loved the Dreamers...

message 3313: by Heidi (new)

Heidi I am reading Are These My Basoomas I See Before Me? (Confessions of Georgia Nicolson, #10) by Louise Rennison and listening to The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen and Airhead (Airhead, #1) by Meg Cabot on audiobook.

message 3314: by Lloyd (new)

Lloyd | 415 comments Last night I finally finished up Catching Fire (Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins and am now on to Mockingjay (Hunger Games, #3) by Suzanne Collins . I'm enjoying this series quite a bit. Good stuff.

I find myself itching to get to The Red Pyramid (Kane Chronicles, #1) by Rick Riordan . Time is ticking and I'm only a few weeks away from the release of The Lost Hero (The Heroes of Olympus, #1) by Rick Riordan and there is no way to resist Fatal Error (Repairman Jack, #14) by F. Paul Wilson (how I dread the end of the series approaching - even though I already know how it ends)!

message 3315: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (peanutty222) | 529 comments I just finished One for the Money by Janet Evanovich and it was a decent short read. The main character annoyed me a little, but the book was quite funny, I laughed out loud a few times, which makes up for Stephanie's lack of girl power. I just started book #2 Two for the Dough and I like it so far.

message 3316: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rmenard) | 6 comments I read The Duff today. I thought it was great! The beginning felt a bit rushed, but after the first few chapters, it settled into place.

message 3317: by Book (new)

Book (bloodwitch) | 90 comments Started Feast of Fools (The Morganville Vampires, #4) by Rachel Caine

message 3318: by Stormi (StormReads) (new)

Stormi (StormReads) (bmreviewsohmy) I finished 13 to Life (13 to Life, #1) by Shannon Delany and it was a decent read I new it was about werewolves so I was hoping for a little more werewolf action so that was disappointing, but maybe in book two. :)

I am now starting Manifest (Mystyx, #1) by Artist Arthur its not bad so far but it feels a little more middle grade than YA.

Half way through The Body Finder (Body Finder, #1) by Kimberly Derting its pretty good so far.

message 3319: by P_Racemosa (new)

P_Racemosa (tzu-jan) | 4 comments Nine Pound Hammer. Its whimsical and the cast is interesting. Like it so far.

I'm almost halfway through the book and I'm giving it just 3stars for now since I haven't got to the exciting part yet, I think. So far, I'm loving the humor Cassandra Clare made of Will. I do see so much Jace in him. :D

message 3321: by Lani (new)

Lani (crahfty) | 253 comments Finished Lover Eternal and Sticky Fingers over the weekend. Loved LE and thought SF was just ok.

I'm now reading Lover Awakened and listening to Flawless on audiobook. I'm really digging the Black Dagger Brotherhood series.

I bought it from the UK! I actually finished it late last night and let me tell you, I absolutely LOVED it! I felt like I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. It was awesome awesome awesome!

message 3324: by Traci (new)

Traci Finished The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne last night and today I have to read The Taming of the Shrew for my Shakespeare class. I think I'll start Bloody Jack (Bloody Jack, #1) by L.A. Meyer tomorrow. :)

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments I can't believe I missed people talking about Soulless! I LOVE THAT BOOK. The voice does take a little bit of getting used to but once my brain started thinking in that old Victorian English I coulnd't stop thinking in it.

Just started Birthmarked but I bought Blameless on the way to work today. Torn over what to read. I finished Nobody's Princess...was cute and easy. Not a great book but it worked well for my reading-mood.

Still listening to I am the Messenger and loving it.

Heidi Traci I loved Bloody Jack. Kourtni good to know you loved Monster's. I am super excited now!

message 3328: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (peanutty222) | 529 comments I started I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore, I am still working on Clockwork angel and I also started Janet Evanovich book #3 in the Stephanie Plum series. I am having a hard time getting into I am Number Four and Clockwork Angel. I am in the mood for adult romance novels I guess......

message 3329: by Kourtni (new)

Kourtni (kourkyloo) | 602 comments Heidi I wrote: "Traci I loved Bloody Jack. Kourtni good to know you loved Monster's. I am super excited now!"

I can't wait to hear/read what you think.

message 3330: by Traci (new)

Traci Amanda.. I'm interested to see what you think of I am Number Four. I hope you enjoy it more than I did. However.. I challenge you to a game of How Many Typos Can You Find?!

message 3331: by Dija (new)

Dija Just started Desire Unchained (Demonica, #2) by Larissa Ione and I have a feeling this book will be even better than the first one.

message 3332: by Isamlq (new)

Isamlq | 177 comments Reading: Tithe and Valiant as well as Body Finder...

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments I put Birthmarked on hold and started Blameless. Changeless left on a bit of a cliff hanger so I need this book!

message 3334: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) I'm reading Bloodthirsty by Flynn Meaney and I like it so far. I've laughed out loud a few times! Even the cover is funny, hahaha. I know what you are, vampire!

message 3335: by Jaimie (new)

Jaimie (jaimier) | 1275 comments I have been away visiting my future in-laws, deep breaths, and have started Soulless (The Parasol Protectorate, #1) by Gail Carriger and am liking it so far. It took a bit to get into because it is a unique take on paranormal world with a side of steampunk. I did finish Return to Paradise and thought it was alright - cheese and teen romance quick fix for sure.

I adore Soulless, Changeless, and Blameless. Each book just keeps getting better and better.

I finished Hex Hall (Hex Hall, #1) by Rachel Hawkins . It was actually pretty good. Her writing style was very easy to read and the plot was decent.

message 3337: by Kayla (new)

Kayla | 2 comments i just finished "Lover Awakened" part of the blackdagger brotherhood series. AMAZING!! i love this series...i still have 5 more books to read, but i need to finish "The Hunger Games" series. "Mockingjay" just came out and i need to finish the book.

message 3338: by Becca (new)

Becca | 1608 comments Starting Spindle's End by Robin McKinley today after just having finished Jacob Have I Loved by Katherine Paterson again. I love that book for it's dark beginnings and hopeful endings.

message 3339: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (peanutty222) | 529 comments Jacob Have I Loved was one of my fav books in high school!

message 3340: by Becca (new)

Becca | 1608 comments Mine too! I've never wondered why it got the Newbery medal unlike some books. It is incredibly well-written and deals with hard issues in an interesting, sensible, and subtle way.

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments I just finished Blameless....it was awesome!

Also I want to say that if you don't follow Gail Carriger on twitter you should. Any time someone mentions her books she retweets or responds.

message 3342: by Stormi (StormReads) (new)

Stormi (StormReads) (bmreviewsohmy) I haven't even read Changeless yet!! Glad to hear you liked Blameless. They are both in my TBR!!

I will go and add Gail Carriger to my twitter I like have authors on there because you often can get the latest scoop about there books..LOL

This book is in my TBR pile. But oh, do I hate typos! They are mental speed-bumps to me while I read. Now I'm not so sure how much I want to read this book. Running a spell-check does not replace a proofreader/editor. Sigh.

message 3344: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Moore (brittanymoore) | 1 comments Mockingjay! The first two book were great and I'm sure that the last will be just as good or better!

message 3345: by Book (new)

Book (bloodwitch) | 90 comments Starting Lord of Misrule (The Morganville Vampires, #5) by Rachel Caine

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I actually picked up Lord of Misrule because I was anxious to get to it after book 4, then diligently put it back down to finish up a couple that I had already started.

Although, I can't complain really. Hourglass Door has been interesting so far.

message 3347: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jhovanec) | 1 comments I just finished "Every Little Thing in the World" and found it completely insipid. Don't waste your time...too convenient and chintzy plot.

I'm listening to "Marcelo in the Real World" on audio and it is FANTASTIC!

Lani (crahfty) | 253 comments Kayla wrote: "i just finished "Lover Awakened" part of the blackdagger brotherhood series. AMAZING!! i love this series...i still have 5 more books to read, but i need to finish "The Hunger Games" series. "Moc..."

I also just finished Lover Awakened and loved it! I finished Flawless, the second book in the Pretty Little Liars series, and just thought it was ok. I've decided not to continue the PLL series due to a disagreement with how the author dealt with a character I love. Yeah-I took it personally, lol.

I've moved on to Lover Revealed and plan to read the rest of the BDB series. I'm also going to pick up something on audiobook, I just don't know what yet...

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments I finished Birthmarked and actually really liked it (I'd heard mixed reviews of it). Some things felt a little contrived at times but otherwise it was good. I need Book 2 (which is still titleless)b/c I want to know what happens to a particular character. Only I'm not sure Book 2 even deals with that.

Listening to Secret Life of Bees which I grabbed from the library for lack of choices and was a bit nervous about (it looks girlier than my normal reads) but the first disk so far is really good.

Eden Silverfox (tsalagi_writer) | 135 comments I'm reading Howliday Inn. Love it so far.
