Kinda felt the same about this one. Pretty much weird all the way around. Am still debating over 3 or 4 stars.

Bethany Almost done with Seraphina by Rachel Hartman . I'm loving this book. There's been a bit of a lull in the amazing fantasy books for me, so I was super happy to read this book.

I added this to my to-read list and then forgot about it. It sounds really interesting.

I'm currently reading Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi .

DO IT!! Its SOOO good! :) I don't know anyone who was disappointed yet. but one thing I would suggest is not to even look at the trailers for the movie or anything to do with movie -if possible-

message 1017: by Tim (new)

Tim (djkilo) | 26 comments I just started Battle Royale I've been told this is 575 pages of violence and gore in A Japanese style of The Hunger Games. Can't wait to get started! I hear its A great read, though,I wonder if I'll be able to keep up with all the Japanese names lol.
I also have my eye on Life as We Knew It which is sitting on my table waiting to be read but I haven't gotten around to starting it yet. SOON!

message 1018: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 18 comments Recently finished:
Fever (The Chemical Garden, #2) by Lauren DeStefano - Amazing as always. Much too short, I want like five more of these books.
Goddess Interrupted (Goddess Test, #2) by Aimee Carter - I read an ARC of this one. So good; want more.
Pandemonium (Delirium, #2) by Lauren Oliver - Not bad. I wasn't 100% in love with Delirium, so I wasn't expecting too much. Left off with a huge cliffhanger though.
Now I'm re-reading The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins just in time for the movie!

I was WAY disappointed with FEVER, especially after WITHER was so stellar. Thought PANDEMONIUM was great, but I also loved DELIRIUM.

It wasn't as good as I was hoping, but it was still good.

Bethany I just finished Cat Girl's Day Off by Kimberly Pauley , which isn't my typical type of book, but I really enjoyed it. I'm not a huge cat fan, but the cats were hilarious. I would definitely recommend this one to cat lovers, and maybe even some cat dislikers.

I didn't care for Fire very much, but it was interesting if not fully entertaining. It will be good to read that right before Bitterblue because there are a lot of references to Fire in the third book.

message 1041: by ♥ Rebecca ♥ (new)

♥ Rebecca ♥ I read about 5 chapters of Pure (Pure, #1) by Julianna Baggott last night before stopping. I have never given up so easily before, but I was just not in the mood to try and tolerate a book I am not enjoying, just to hate it in the end anyway and waste 2 days. Every time I try to power through something I am unsure of, I always regret it. If I dont like the book after few chapters, I am just not going to like it. This book was really weird, and dark, and disturbing. Be warned. I might try again if several people tell me its worth it, but atm I doubt it.

message 1042: by ♥ Rebecca ♥ (new)

I'd go with that, too, since it's the only one I haven't read. Read the other 2 and neither was very good!

Exceptional was good. Article 5 was okay. I haven't read Fever yet, but I doubt that I will based on the response that it's gotten.

message 1047: by ♥ Rebecca ♥ (new)

♥ Rebecca ♥ The Droughtlanders (Triskelia, Book 1) by Carrie Mac I am only 35 pages in, but so far it is a very well built dystopian world. Very impressed in that respect.

message 1048: by Julie (new)

Julie I started Untraceable (The Nature of Grace, #1) by S.R. Johannes today, I love the Kindle cloud reader, yet another way to read at work!

message 1049: by Julie (new)

Julie I'm reading Steampunk! An Anthology of Fantastically Rich and Strange Stories by Kelly Link , so far I've liked all the stories. There are 2 graphic novels in there though and I don't care for those. And I'm also reading The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin
