I also disliked Linger :(
I think it's one of the few books I actually hate...
But currently I am reading, "I Am Number Four"
Figured I should read it since the movie is coming out soon. It's pretty good so far.

I Am Number Four sounds pretty good, and the movie looks good, too, but I learned the book is actually a scam by some guy trying to make the next Harry Potter. Maybe I'll check it out still, if it's good. :D I'll have to check out your review when you get done!
I don't think anyone can really create a scam with a book? I mean if it's good people will buy it and if it's not, then it won't sell, you know?

And I agree that you can't really make a scam of a book. Maybe scam was the wrong word, but some authors do cash in on trends trying to make money. That doesn't mean their books are bad, though. It happens, though. Maybe we who are writing mermaid books should hold off if we ever do want to get published. Maybe people will think we're trying to do cash in, too.

I am going to boycott the book AND the movie.
The person who actually wrote the story should get the credit. It was pretty good and I want to see it in movie form, but now i'm a little hesitant...I mean only $500 and 30-49% of the profits!? That's a terrible deal.

Sorry, it's just corporate sellouts are between maggots and flobberworms on my list of the lowest of the low.

I finished

hmmm...I think that as a general rule of thumb, I don't pick up books with black covers. They are usually about vampires, werewolves, fallen-angels, ect. and they are way to over used. I've read Twilight, Shiver, Raised By Wolves, Hush Hush, Halo and Shadow Hills(which is good!), but now I'm taking a break from paranormals I think...there are just too many of them and after a while, they start to seem the same.
Now I am tempted to read it! I just finished reading
Really enjoyed it, though it was slow in the beggining.

I'm also reading

That's the publisher's intent. They are comparing Jane to Sookie. But they have only their paria status in common: Sookie has her telepathy and therefore no boyfriend, Jane has her disappeared mother who walked around naked and the fact that she found her dead boyfriend in the water when she swan around during an ice-cold storm. Now the narrow-minded people of her little tourist town are suspicious.
I'm reading Detectives in Togas with my friend for a school project. We chose it because we have to dress up, and togas are easy to make. REALLY BORING!!!
Yeah....Thats what i thought too...

I thought it was very boring."
I started reading that one, but I found it too easy to put down, so I never finished it. I've also been reading Real Mermaids Don't Wear Toe Rings, but I haven't finished it yet! :)
um, The Hunger Games, Ingo, Percy Jackson series. Those are all my favorite books, but you've probably already read them all...
